this is the result of someone changing the image type to raw when it is not.
This was solved by switching the image type back to the correct option.
Good deal.

Adding to what Tom said
changing the storage node location Local

If the storage node location is local make sure it is mounted in /etc/fstab
example:
UUID=b2584c6a-dddd-4939-9f86-f77a816fad8a /media/images2 ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 0 Change the info on the web interface to reflect your new Storage Group, mine was local, so I just reused the same Ip, made sure the user, pass were set to one that matches a user on the Linux box with the same 777 permissions on the destination
example:
chmod -R 0777 /where/you/want/to/put/your/shit copy all the files from the original /images folder specifically /images/dev, /images/.mntcheck, /images/postdownloadscripts to the new location
example:
cp -rp /images/* /where/you/want/to/put/your/shit
##########################################################################
This is what worked for me to get rid of the

“Mounting File System…Failed”

problem I encountered after moving the storage node to a larger local disk
##########################################################################
4. Edit the /etc/exports file to reflect the new datastore location, don’t forget to copy the files over as mentioned above
example:
From:
/images
/images/dev
To:
/where/you/want/to/put/your/shit
/where/you/want/to/put/your/shit/dev

#save

#restart the service

service nfs-kernel-server restart

From my experience, when the menu reverts back to the main menu, it’s something to do with the boot file or the chain loading.

There are lots of threads and WiKi articles about chain loading. Past that, someone with more experience in this area would need to chime in. Check back here to see if others post.

So I came across this in the wiki :
http://fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Am_I_able_to_modify_the_PXE_menu_to_run_other_applications?

Which looks like a way to add zenworks imaging to the old menu. How would do this with the new advance menu?

If the image was set to “Resizable”, then it doesn’t matter.

I’m guessing it’s not re-sizable.

Make sure your FTP settings / permissions are correct for the Kernel Update. More info here: http://fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Troubleshoot_FTP

To update to the latest svn, go to where you downloaded the last one, and just run:
svn up
then go to the bin directory, and run the installfog.sh

More info here: http://fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/SVN
mine doesn’t show “format” column
I apologize… that might only be there for the newer developmental releases…

if you click on an image itself, on the left, it should show the image type. And there might even be an option somewhere in 1.2.0 settings to let you support older image formats… not sure… I’ve never used 1.2.0 in production. I use the developmental releases only, because Tom made a change in them to allow FOG to work in my environment.

You do not need to install the new client, I just wanted to know which one you were having issues with so I could better help troubleshoot it for you.

It sounds like you fixed it though.

If you select any one of the tasks it will present a deployment confirmation. On the confirmation it asks you how/when you want it to happen. Instant means immediately. Delayed means one time in the future. Cron style means you want it to happen on a regular cycle.
