Following up on this topic with new news.

I was just told about issues with imaging a Latitude 3350. Currently we’re on FOG 1.3.0 RC-18 and using kernel 4.8.1.

I’ve added the kernel arguments pci=noacpi into this spot here:
Web Interface -> FOG Configuration -> FOG Settings -> General Settings -> FOG_KERNEL_ARGS in order for the issue to just go away for any system that may have the problem.

This worked, but the keyboard on the Dell Latitude 3350 would not work. We worked around this by attaching a USB keyboard.

There are also other mutli-fog-server setups too. At work, we use a 15-server distributed FOG system and it works fine. We have 1 web interface we use to control/do stuff wherever we want. FOG can do this out-of-box.

@Max-Kern Well just try and see. Clearly you know some SQL, I don’t think you need my help any further lol. All I ask is that if you tweak the script, share it here.

I’m solving and moving though, this is not a bug. The snapin never completed, and all I care about is if the start time is within the “scope” you’re searching for.

We have had people with dual-homed clients have issues prior and those were not resolved.

I think kernel arguments for network address can be passed and inits then look for that network and any interfaces without it be shut down. I can mess with this maybe Friday or sunday.

@jmcg I’m glad you have it worked out. That is why the pcap is so valuable so you can actually see what is going on in the wires and not just guess.

Good job, happy fogging (if that is a word).

I’d just like to chime in and discourage using Excel to save csv files.

It tends to fuck up formatting, save large numbers in scientific notation and so forth.

This is wierd. All i did was

    service FOGScheduler restart

and now it works. Not to say that i restarted the whole server before and that didn’t help and also the status of this service was “running”.

@Tom-Elliott , thank you for the indirect tip.

The message “Object not set to instance of Object” means that you are trying to use an object which has not been initialized. That is, you either set it to null, or you never set it to anything at all. The runtime throwing a NullReferenceException always means the same thing: you are trying to use a reference. The reference is not initialized (or it was initialized, but is no longer initialized).

    @Wayne-Workman

It actually prompted me to ask which interface to use. It had a default and gave me the option of picking another. So when asked I put in the ensXX entry. The FOG installer did pick this up correctly as I didn’t modify this afterwards.

Actually the way I’ve set mine up is that I have internet access on one interface and the other ties to an unrouted VLAN. Everything assigned into this VLAN is destroyed in one way or another - either imaged or wiped with FOG.
