I think I understand what you mean.

Load up the old machine the way you want the first image. Register it with the FOG server. Go into the FOG webui, create the image definition, go to the hosts and associate the host record with the image record. Perform and upload task.

Create a new image record for your second image. Setup the computer the way you want for the second image. Go into FOG and set the upload task so it creates the second image.

Create a new image definition in fog, change the host record to associate to the new image, setup the computer the way you want, upload the image.

One computer, multiple images.

Thanks Catsrules,
I figured it out…the files were there already, but since I’ve been switching back and forth to a live network and an isolated network. I’ve been using two network connections with different settings…long story short, I just restarted the machine

I’m excited about Windows 8. At this time, if it works, it works; if not, we’ll probably have to wait until retail before we can troubleshoot.

if the host records already exist, you may have to go back to each record and select the “Active Directory” menu option, and choose to join the computer to the domain after the image task. I had this issue because I had host records created before I had the Active Directory credentials working properly.

Make sure the account you are using is specifying the FOG_AD_DEFAULT_DOMAINNAME as a FQDN (something.something.etc), your FOG_AD_DEFAULT_USER is specified as (DOMAIN\User), and your FOG_AD_DEFAULT_PASSWORD has been FOGCrypted properly. I have not had success is specifying the FOG_AD_DEFAULT_OU just yet, but I plan to work through that next. For now, they are joined to the default Computers location, and I move them to the correct OU as part of the deployment.

You need Account Administrators group membership in AD, OR be a domain admin, OR be delegated computer account management rights on the default Computers location and any other locations you plan to put machine accounts.
yes you need to edit both of the above paths and add your mysql password to these two files.

/var/www/fog/commons/config.php and /opt/fog/service/etc/config.php.
I found another post from another site…can’t find it now to save my life…but it suggested that you go to /etc/hosts and edit the IP
addresses from 127.0.0.1 to whatever it was that you set as your IP address for the server. I changed them both and it worked like a charm. If I come across that post again I’ll add it in.

So the real question being, what is the default block size of TFTP that FOG uses, and is there a way to increase it?

Hi
I downloaded the latest kernel 3.2. used this link to build a custom kernel
http://www.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Building_a_Custom_Kernel
enbled SCSI low-level drivers from the left side and VMware PCSCSI drivers support from the right side.
built the new kernel and it worked like charm
just to note that this command does not work anymore “make bzImage”. just writing make will fix the bzImage in case you need to update the wiki
