Try putting in a * and windows will give it a random name, and after that fog will rename it accordingly

    • Multicast Timeout

      Hey guys

I had a issue in my lab where it took about 10mins before all my machines were at the Please Wait screen and they just didnt do anything, now when i had 3 and i did a multicast it worked 100% i was wondering could this be a timeout issue ? Should i increase the timeout and if so is it the one in the Config.php --> UPDSENDER_MAXWAIT ?

      Thanks

    • Directory Cleaner

      Hi Guys
can someone shed some light on this on how it works ?
i have it set to 1 under fog settings, i set it to manual in the Fog Configuration, and i see the default accounts that should be protected eg Administrator, Guest etc
This use to work in XP but i can confirm that it doesn’t work in Windows 7
Any idea if this will be looked at in Future ?
It would be a really handy tool to get to work because Windows 7 gets extremely slow when there are a lot of profiles on the machine
      Thanks

Have you checked that the Fog account has permission on the folders ? If it doesnt then this will happen

    • RE: Downloading and Installing FOG on Ubuntu Server 11.10 (No GUI)

i could be very wrong here but here it goes anyway, we do install everything from terminal so in theory you dont need the GUI , and once fog is installed you can access it from any pc in your network via IE/FireFox/Safari/Chrome etc are you perhaps struggling somewhere ?

      Hey

Yes im using windows 7, and spot on thats exactly what i want to use it for, Windows 7 goes to a grinding Halt when there are too many profiles on the machines , so i was hoping to get this working, Any chance on getting this sorted on 0.33 if it isnt working now ?
