Hi Tom,

I have tried the kernel with few others models. Its working absolutely fine with some new models.

Good Working with below Models :
Dell Latitude 5420
Dell Latitude 6420
Dell Latitude 5440
Lenovo L440

Delay in loading kernel with below models :
Dell Vostro 3400
Dell Vostro 3460
Dell Vostro 3450 (i3)

Problem : Its taking 4 to 5 minutes to load the kernel to perform any tasks.
esas2r : driver will not be loaded because no ATTO esas2r devices were found
i2c-parport-light: adapter type unspecified
After 5 minutes its performing the tasks in a normal way.

Problematic Model :
Dell Vostro 3450 (i5)

Kernel have stopped at this line once the kernel is loaded
esas2r : driver will not be loaded because no ATTO esas2r devices were found
i2c-parport-light: adapter type unspecified
IP-Config:Reopening network devices.…
No Process after this.

Sorry for long description. Please help in solving this issue.
AN EMERGENCY ON YOUR PART DOES NOT CONSTITUTE ONE ON MINE!

I realize you want help, but I can’t possibly tell you why or what is wrong. The esas2r message doesn’t mean anything, but it’s telling you that the kernel has not found that driver and can’t load it. same with the i2c-parport-light.

What the kernel’s doing after that I don’t know. It’s fast on some, slow on others, and yet others it doesn’t work at all. I don’t know what to say to help.

The best I can do is recompile and try different things.

But I don’t have the systems to build against.

I’m sorry that my kernels have failed you thus far!

systemctl enable servicename.service

That should set them to start on boot.

Excellent! Haha that’s a great solution. Thank you very much.

The error was because I had the image set to single partition, when there were two partitions on disk. The first partition was a Dell recovery partition.

For the interested, I recorded a video of the original graphics problem:

A 64 bit kernel is not compatible with a 32 bit init.gz. The 32 bit kernel I provide is the same as the 64, but in 32 bit mode.

Hi Tom,

after I have now removed the broken network-hub and now again use the FOG Version 0.32 , everything seems to work very satisfactorily .

I have learned over the past few days a lot about Linux and FOG.
If, nevertheless, again if problems arise , I am back.

Once again many thanks for the support with my first steps with FOG and friendly greetings.

Tom,
I tried your bzImage from your Feb 11th post and it did not work on a Lenovo M93z that I have. I did download the bzImage from Chris and it does work. So it appears that something is still missing from yours. Thanks for your efforts in keeping FOG current!

unfortunately it doesn’t. And i have no clue why the downloaded file is shown as an archive instead of a binary file.
That the filesize differs significantly (i guess it was 6mb instead of 11mb) is not relevant, right?

Do you have an idea what i could do or test?

Yes I did try. Thank you for your suggestion. Still no luck. I think the problem has been narrowed down to the x131 having an advanced format drive. Any options that you know of to get around this?
