Could the problem be there is only one partition (as seen in the screenshot)? My Thinkpad models show two partitions. The one partition GX755 running win7 works fine.

Hi Tom! I started with a clean installation so nothing is moved or copied from /images. I even set the permissions/ownership correct in /home/images but they are back to wrong settings each time I do an upload.

During an update (svn) the /images are recreated again. I have not checked lately if the /etc/export file is kept unchanged (it was correct now with references to /home/images).

Sammary: The ownership is changed to root:root each time I do an upload

The files is not moved out of the dev folder and into its own folder. This was not a problem before I moved the /images folder into the /home folder. I have to do some more research tomorrow.

      As all the others state,

The filename doesn’t matter from a system perspective, but when it comes to tracking bugs or finding potential issues, searching on google deter’s to the “assumed” default of the files. Meaning, if we relabel undionly.kpxe during install to pxelinux.0, and you were having problems, people would likely search for pxelinux.0 which would not return the information you need properly. It would become extremely difficult to track down issues.

I guess I don’t fully understand the request.

The hover part get’s “de-hovered” because the data returned is cleared, then resent. This is why it defaults to “unhovered”. I could fix this behaviour but the idea of the active tasks page is to display the tasks, not really the progress information directly. That’s just an additional “feature” that was added to make all of our FOG’ing days a little bit easier.

It’s not a huge concern to me, but I also don’t think a FOG Setting for this is warranted. If you want to play in the javascripts to get this for yourself, you’re more than welcome to it.

To add on to this (while slightly outdated) we have a semi-officialized kind of bug reporting system as well. This is for us developers to keep track of features, bugs, etc… when encountered.

If a user notices a bug, it’s best right now to submit to the forums as we’re constantly on them. If you submit a bug report to the github, I believe it will only contact me, though everybody could still see the bug itself.

This has been added, but only to the group. So to “mass delete” hosts, you first have to create a group with the hosts you want to remove, then within the group page, delete the group and choose to delete all the hosts from the page.
This is correct. If you’re having issues with image uploads, the only place to worry about is the Storage Management Page->All Storage Nodes-><YOUR STORAGE NODE>->Management Username and Passowrd. These should be set to the fog user’s information on the FOG Server’s linux user data.
I know this is a very common source of frustration among FOG users. Could it be an idea to have this explained somewhere on screen after installation/upgrade?

Set the fog user password in GUI Change unix fog user password (passwd fog in linux terminal) Set password (same as point 2) in Storage Management Set ftp password (same as point 2 and 3) in FOG settings

I guess some frustration is solved with such a reminder.

Further, I also found most Javascript stuff broken until I cleared the cache - going through host details (ie Snapins, Hardware) didn’t work amongst other things.

Option to set minimizes or mazimized graphs in Task Management? The graphs used in task management to show progress in a task is set to a minimized format. User has to hoover over the graph to get the full info and full graph. An option in FOG setting to choose between this hoover (minimized) functionality and a full graph would be nice.

This has now been added. If you’re using trunk versions of FOG the SVN version number will be displayed on the “Version” of the file.
