@pmonstad there was a bug for a while where the kernel directory was being passed as you saw but it is configurable through fog configuration -> fog settings -> tftp server kernel for or very close to it.

I think I finally understand what the issue is.

You are not allowed to delete tasks from the Search list. This was never the intent, but it was mistakenly put in.

I’ve now fixed it. For now, I’m not going to allow any deleting/canceling from the search fields. I also am ensuring you can cancel all tasks that are in a progress state (meaning they’re not complete or cancelled already).

I imagine this is currently working as we no longer have a save group bar being passed but the more accurate deletemulti but the fact is you should not be seeing that on a task page.

@george1421 , I already have a firewall configuration that has been tested for awhile now and works (the hardest part was nfs as it was using random ports, but that is easily limited). As for SELinux I already have a policy made, I just need more people to test it and see if I missed anything (after I package it up nicely).

Confirmed and fixed in v0.9.7 (https://news.fogproject.org/fog-client-v0-9-7/). Upgrade your FOG server to get the patch. Sorry about the oversight.

Probably CentOS 5.11 has a pretty old version of bash running which cannot handle regular expressions in condition clauses. I guess there is no easy solution to this but update your OS. Probably best if you can setup a new server for testing FOG and if you are happy with it you can still consider updating your existing OS.

      @pmonstad,

Can you please try upgrading your svn and try again? This was/is known about and has been fixed. So to keep saying this or that about it on a revision that was known to have this issue, seems rather pointless to me.

I just confirmed the bug was still present on the LIST view. I have now corrected it.

SVN 3428 should fix this issue for you.

Word of caution if you do update to this and you’re using the New Client, it may break hostname.php if you don’t have FOG_AES_ENCRYPT enabled. If you do have new client AND FOG_AES_ENCRYPT enabled, it may basically break everything. Legacy clients should work without issue.

      pmonstad, try clearing your cache.

Feed this error into any search engine and you’ll get a multitude of explanations on how to fix this, e.g.:
Strange. I have a very simple setup for cloning here. A brand new server and a Cisco GB switch connected directly to my office. No other cables etc. Not a big deal really, just wandered if the graph was as expected or if there was some kind of a bug.
I can add that the graph looks much better and more correct when I do a deploy. My random “peak graph” was during an upload.

The legacy client should still work as before. Don’t count on the current in-development client to work though (it can only be obtained through the fogservice-rewrite branch on github)

More specifically, it’s a CSS element that can be edited to your hearts content. The reasoning for the “hide” show is if you’re running multiple tasks, the page would not only be long with it always expanded, but it would also be confusing, potentially, for users to know what host the progress bar is actually for.

The other issue I see with making this fully expanded is the requests to get it hidden. Is it really that hard to hover over it? I understand the timeout re-hides it which I can look into, but I find the “minimized” bar a good way to see on the fly tracking. I may not know the exact percentage as that’s hidden, but I can still get a rough estimate of how far along the item is.

Same thing happens on Lenovo R500’s and Lenovo R61’s. Changed AHCI to compatibility. Its a known issue and its related directly with the hardware and BIOS. This will affect any install of Windows, ghosting, Acronis True Image and FOG. Sorry but not a FOG issue.
