Sorry about the confusion, when the list of active snapins is present, by double clicking one of the “Delete” buttons the page goes blank as pictured in the screenshot. A standard refresh of the page does not resolve the issues, only clicking the “Active Snapin Tasks” link on the left side properly reloads it. Non of the snapin tasks are removed, only the gui glitches.

Ok, thanks, In fedora20 is default. I understand you don’t include this support, but an exception on the log file could be a good idea.
I spent a few hours to identify the trouble and some other people could do too. Sorry if I miss any documentation about it.

Sorry, I attach the fedora 20 output:
    em1: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
    inet x.x.x.x netmask 255.255.255.224 broadcast x.x.x.y
As you can see, there is not a ‘:’ but the source code search for it:
    exec(“/sbin/ifconfig | grep ‘[0-9]{1,3}.[0-9]{1,3}.[0-9]{1,3}.[0-9]{1,3}’| cut -d’:’ -f 2 | cut -d’ ’ -f1”, $arR, $retVal);
    so the outuput is null…
    Ciao

    Thanks for reporting.

I’ve fixed the isForced issue in 2102, but I don’t know if that will fix the slot numbering.

I think Feature Request would be pretty good as I am working on the “next” release, and this may be one that waits for after that release.

are these images from a pre 1.0 version of fog, or are they new images made with fog 1.0+?
pre fog 1.0 were partimage, fog 1.0+ are partclone

That is unrelated to my issue, which was fixed quite a while ago by Tom. If you don’t need your DB or settings, I would suggest doing a full wipe of your FOG install, followed by a reinstall. There is a bad DB password entry that gets left in a settings file, I just can’t recall what file it is right now.
Hi

Fog 1.1.2 is looking like an awesome improvement over 0.32 so far - which in itself was an awesome upgrade over Ghost Solution Suite :D
That was my overall goal, so I’m glad to make it a reality.
Not sure if this has already been reported, however FYI…

    A) Renaming computers in the Host Management page usually doesn’t seem to save. Although other settings on that host/general page do save.
Not to sound relentless, but what’s the exact usage that’s giving the problem. Are there any messages? I know when you update the host or any field it resets, but if you scroll the page to the top, it should show a “box” that displays “Host updated successful, host failed because of …, etc…” or some message of the sort. I believe there may be a bug here but don’t have a means to reproduce. I have no issues renaming.
B) I installed the Location plugin on 1.1.2 (previously not installed when I upgraded from 0.32) and whilst the Location page icons appears, none of the “New Search”, “List All Locations”, “Create New Location” pages display anything. (I’ve just edited the database location table manually with the required details and this does appear to actually work, so I can assign hosts to locations and then they TFTP boot the bzImage from the correct server then :))
I don’t know what the exact issue is but I have a hunch it’s due to the way plugins were loading or trying to load. I know it’s fixed in SVN. Did you have to create the location table, or did the install of the plugin do that for you?
C) I don’t think Multicast is working at all - partimage just sits waiting. Not too worried as we mostly unicast anyway. (FYI on 0.32 Multicast was super slow/useless on 100Mbit workstations, but perfect on any Gigabit machines. Yet Ghost’s Multicast worked fine on the same machines. HP Procurve switches with IGMP filtering configured, etc.)
Multicast of partimage isn’t working? I don’t know and is totally possible. I do know it’s working for partclone. Have you checked that FOGMulticastManager service is actually running on the fog server? If you’d like you can PM me and maybe we can chat and I can help you find/fix this issue?

I understand what you’re saying. What I’m telling you is, while this check could be done to verify files for Windows Resizable images, all the others are copied in a format of d{disknum}p{partitionnumber}.img

I can add a check for the sys.img.000 file, but there’s no common standard that states every disk is always going to be d1p1,d1p2.

Also, how far do we take this? We’re not storing the file names anywhere right now. So if somebody comes in after we’ve created the image and deletes, randomly, some files from the directory, you would be in exactly the same state.

I’ll take a look at the inits. The intent of the Progress file is supposed to work for both partimage and partclone, although the information may be different which could also be causing the problem.
