Team viewer and I helped fix the issue described in this thread. The issue was mcrypt was not loaded properly. Copying the needed ini file to the mods available folder and enabling the module helped correct this. I’ve now added checking to the installer to further prevent these types of cases hopefully.

    Hi,

He have change OS to Debian 7.8 (because french support << me). For each package installation on FOG installer the result was failed (he have a proxy configured, maybe a problem ?) to solve it problem I’ve installed all packages via apt-get.

Rerun the installer… at the task “update database” there was no page found at http://fog_ip/fog/. Checking site-enabled : nothing, checking site-availabled : 001-fog.conf >> a2ensite this conf file and restart apache2. Nothing at http://fog_ip/fog/, but at http://fog_ip/html/fog it’s OK.

New rerun installer, website is now on /var/www/fog (instead /var/www/html/fog).

@Scott-B Just a suggestion but - it’s not always a good thing to update… Tom is trying a few things right now, and you might wanna go back to the version you came from lol.

The devs do their best to make every revision a good one, and do appreciate the bug reports, but you also need to understand that using FOG Trunk involves some risk and you accept this risk when you use FOG Trunk. Patience is key when reporting bugs.

Of course and I understand, was just providing feedback.

That worked. I cleared the databases and reimported all of my hosts. I am getting an error now on them being added to Active Directory. Not sure if related to the import or the trunk version I am on. which is 3735.

Error is : 7/9/2015 4:23 PM FOG::HostnameChanger Domain Error! (‘Unknown Error’ Code: 1326)

That worked Tom. I changed the “FOG_MEMORY_LIMIT” under fog settings to 512 and I was able to pull a backup of the DB. Thank you!

why partclone and clonezilla are working and not fog ?

    FOG uses partclone…

What version of FOG are you using?

What distribution of Linux and version?

What is the model of the source computer?

Is your image a manufacturer based image or one you built from nothing?

    Hi,

I have several hosts on my fog server.

Naming are : ClassroomTypeNumber, for example :

A111PC01 for the PC 01 of the A111 classroom
A111PCPR for the teacher PC of the A111 classroom

When i lauch a new search on hosts with “pcpr” string, it display me 👍

    a111pcpr
    b110pcpr
    b010pcpr

    etc…

    but also :

    c005pc01
    c005pc02
    c005pc03

    c005pc17
    C005pcpr

but c005pc01 to c005pc17 doest not contain “pcpr” string.

    Hi,

The search include image wich is used on hosts. For example I’ve 3 class with the same master “MASTER_WRG”. The search results of “wrg” contain all computers using this image.

@Tom-Elliott If i change of computer to connect to the server, it’s the same. It’s not a cache or browser problem. Display updating informations but they are stuck at a certain point. Client side seems to send always the same information but continue to upload or download.

Others tests these days says that it do it in uploading/downloading, unicast and multicast. All tasks can freeze but continue on client. Web display is refreshing but as i said with the same informations. If i change browser or use another computer to connect tasks, same information is displaying with no progress. I think it came from client side but not sure. How are progress informations sent to tasks display ?

This and location plugin should be fixed in 3721, thanks for reporting. List all was fixed, but I just fixed the Location plugin as well.

    Hi Tom,

I’ve configure his SVN installation for proxy, after update SVN he can’t list host.

    Apache error :

[Wed Jul 08 09:47:40.098835 2015] [:error] [pid 11831] [client 10.130.70.254:45386] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function __toString() on string in /var/www/fog/lib/pages/HostManagementPage.class.php on line 99, referer: http://10.130.70.3/fog/management/index.php?node=host

    I’ve tried that in HostManagementPage.class.php :

    'host_mac' => $Host->getMACAddress(), #->__toString(),

He can list all hosts now.

    This is now resolved.

Apparently there was an issue in the codebase that wasn’t allowing the repository to be installed. I will likely need to figure out a more suitable fix in the installer itself.

All that’s needed is to run the installer. If there’s a problem, go to shell and run: (on ubuntu this is):

    sudo apt-get update;sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Confirm the pops if they come up as their defaulted selected item.

Re-run the installer and all should work.
