An issue was found in 1.5.6 that calls for an early next release to fix that. Find the details here if you run into problems with FTP connections on kernel updates or storage nodes in 1.5.6: https://github.com/FOGProject/fogproject/issues/311

@Tom-Elliott ok thank you. We are starting with doing only some basic things, so I will just continue to get it up and running on 1.5.x.

Right now, I am using the doxygen generated focdoc/ folder and mostly some examples in other plugins. Sometimes a bit tricky, but IMHO no need to generate the files for 1.5

No, there shouldn’t be any effect on the images but make sure you read all the information on upgrading in the link posted by Tom if you have storage nodes!!!

I’m getting this now on Ubuntu 18.04.1. Fresh install on VirtualBox VM. git checkout working-1.6:

@lebrun78 Just be aware there is no way back to the 1.5.x version of FOG if you switched to working-1.6 now other than very messy manual manipulations in the database. We are working towards 1.6 and hope to have most users upgrade at some point. So I am not saying you shouldn’t. Just want to make sure you understand the consequences.
