@plegrand UEFI implementations can be a real pain. It’s meant to be Kind of universal but everyone is just doing his/her own thing. So some UEFI clients work great while others just don’t want to play nicely. There is not much we can do about it. Well, you can try using rEFInd and start playing with the config file. If you are lucky it’s justa matter of finding the right options.

@plegrand I just stumbled upon the FOG_ENFORCE_HOST_CHANGES setting in the FOG web UI and remembered your post:

This setting only operates with the new client. Default value is 1 which allows the new client to enforce name changing on every cycle it checks in, so any change on FOG will take place on the next cycle. If unset (value 0) it will only perform hostname change and/or AD Joining on host restart.

You might want to give this a try to get rid of the messages.

@plegrand psexec already has the ability to send commands to remote machines, I’m not sure why you would try to make psexec commands into fog snapins.

This whole thread seems really over-complicated.

Why not just bake-in some run-once functionality into your image? Windows already does this natively via the registry. Doing it for Linux images is trivial because SystemD is amazing.

Alright, well I already addressed the “file not found” type problem in the RC’s thanks to this. So at least there’s that.

      Thanks for your answer.
But yesterday it didn’t works even i reset encryption data. I had to install manually the new client version

can we see a client log from a non updating client please?

I had the same issue, reset encryption but it client did not auto update. My fix was the GPO to install the new client as mentioned earlier.

I got an authentication error on the log.

Was just looking to see if i uploaded an error log on my old posts

      It’s not our dns servers

You don’t have to use them. You can make your own and direct all hosts to use yours.

I install dynamique DNS with bind and it works fine. Thanks again

I switched this back to a normal topic as opposed to an unsolved/solved question. This is something trying to get information on a new version of fog and the title is far too vague to give a proper “answer”. Even if it asked when 1.3.0 was going to be released its still not a Solve/Unsolve question. I prefer to use the solved/unsolved questions for bugs and/or features.

Great that you worked it out. I think this is pretty normal and actually expected behavior. If you configure wget to use a proxy server it will do so whatever URL you are trying to request!! To exclude some URL (like local ones) is a pretty common configuration. That’s fine!
