Would it be possible to view the fog.log for the client on the web interface?
Would be helpful for fault finding a computer with out remoting into C drive or logging on to the PC.
FOG Server: 1.4.4
Storage Nodes: 1.4.4
My organization is changing the way we name hosts.
I was hoping i could export the hosts as a CSV file, make the changes to the CSV file ie change the host name and add in the OU location so it moves the new hosts to the correct location.
When i try to import the host file i get errors saying “One or more macs are associated with a host”
Is this possible? Or will i have to export the hosts, then delete all hosts and then import edited CSV file?
Thanks in advance.
reboot into recovery > start terminal
Thanks for your answer.
But yesterday it didn’t works even i reset encryption data. I had to install manually the new client version
can we see a client log from a non updating client please?
I had the same issue, reset encryption but it client did not auto update. My fix was the GPO to install the new client as mentioned earlier.
I got an authentication error on the log.
Was just looking to see if i uploaded an error log on my old posts
I had this issue, i had to upgrade 0.9.12 to 11.5.
I ran a gpo to upgrade the client.
Used orca to edit the msi file and add the ip address of my fog server. Then created GPO for installing software and selected the MSI.
The client updates, but needs a reboot for the services to startup.
Also had to update my images to include the new client.
Hope this helps
FOG with sysprep: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=FOG_Client
Your probably right. Iv had this DB from FOG 0.32…
Try these steps please:
rm -rf /etc/php* /etc/apache2*
apt-get purge php5* php7* apache2* libapachephp
Edit the /opt/fog/.fogsettings file.
Change out the php_ver to read with php_ver=‘7.1’
Change out the php_verAdds to read with php_verAdds=’-7.1’
Delete the packages line.
Rerun the installer.
Is it worth doing this on my FOG server also. I only did my master storagenode
first time truncated:
TRUNCATE TABLE multicastSessions; TRUNCATE TABLE multicastSessionsAssoc; DELETE FROM tasks WHERE taskTypeID='8';
Didnt make a difference.
Just ran the ones you gave me there, still stuck at partclone screen.
Restarted FOGMulticastManager service and mysql service for good luck too.
@Duncan Then you need to do the truncate stuff in the database mentioned somewhere else
Truncated but still no joy.
Il go and do some fault finding now.
just doing it now, cheers
