The benefit - getting a bug you report fixed. Getting bug fixes others report.

Updating is totally up to you. Nobody is forcing your hand, and Release candidates are just that. Release candidates. If you want to sit on it, you can. If you want to update, you can.

However - if you have issues and ask for help here, and the devs/mods/testers know your issue is fixed in a later RC, we will ask you to update and won’t offer much help with getting your older RC to work, when all you would need to do is update. Of course we’d help with the updating itself if you had problems. But it’s all still up to you.

@Pascal-Gazaille Is this with an external DHCP server? Just for the fun of it, would you want to try UEFI as well? Change from legacy BIOS to UEFI on your DELL Latitude and from undionly.kpxe to ipxe.efi on the DHCP server…

More and more UEFI is coming and it’s good for us to know how well we handle this already.

The only way I’ve solved the problem was to upgrade to svn 6889.
After that the web ui kernel update has let me upgrade to this kernel

Found my problem, the cache of my browser had a problem.

Reset settings and everything is ok!

If you’re daring, are you trying out the latest SVN? I ask because with Mentaloid’s help, he created a setup to not startup certain services until FOG has a network device and mysql is running. I don’t know if this will fix mysql from starting at reboot, but you could try this version and see if it helps you out at al.

This details one of the larger issues as well as a potential means to allow restarting mysql on reboots. i don’t know if it will work all the time, but it’s best I’ve been able to come up with.

Give your VM more resources such as CPU and RAM and you should see an increase in speed.

I can now register and uploading an image seems to be working but it’s going very slowly. After about an hour, it’s only 5% uploaded where normally we would be close to half way.
