Is next-server the IP of your FOG server and is filename undionly.kpxe?
it was the “undionly.kpxe” file which was replaced by “prelinux.0.” What I do not understand is that it worked for a long time. Anyway Thanks

Sorry, I have been trying to find out. How would I access the log to copy the info? Is this done over ftp, or in the terminal.

Excellent! That is where the errant IP address was residing. I hadn’t thought to look there, thanks!

After that, the job still failed even after rebooting the server. Deleting the image and then re-creating it and restarting the task allowed this to run as it was intended. Thanks!

If only all the problems I encountered were so easily resolved. Thanks again.

Unless these are different from the ones we have, you can switch them to legacy boot. The BIOS/EFI/firmware is almost identical to that of Dell’s laptops and desktops, and it has all the same options, including legacy boot options to completely disable Secure Boot and UEFI.

Maybe you should change the memory_limit parameter in the php.ini.

This is a known issue with vbox. Use ipxe.pxe and all should work.

Hey guys I think I found the issue,

It says /media/fog/Images/dev/ on /images no such file or directory

Maybe I have to check if where it’s trying to save to is not correct,

    Inspecting again

Thank you for replying Vincent. The classroom is used for different courses, the need for reservations is due to the requirements of a particular class. Unfortunatley it’s the only way it can be done. The OS used in the course is a custom OS, and very basic, reservations are the only way we can use the same image, but guarantee different IP addresses per machine. Beleive me its a pain in the … I have no choice but to use reservations.
Have you used the fog server as a main DHCP server and got reservations working, or do I need to install DHCP3, in which case is there a guide on how to disable Fog’s DHCP server and correctly configure DHCP3?

    Thanks

The import file is, now, supposed to be a CSV (Comma Separated Value)

Meaning the file should be a text file purely.

It should contain the information as:

    MACWITHCOLONS,HOSTNAME.

Your file, appears to be in the wrong format with:
    MACWITHCOLONSHOSTAME

So the number of cells is invalid. Place a comma between the name and mac addres and remove the header field and you should be good.
