@imagingmaster21 IMO you have multiple things wrong here, all of them giving you a different error.

I would nuke the fogproject git repo directory and reclone it from github then rerun the fog installer.

Beyond that you need to confirm the FOG server ip address has not changed since fog was installed. You can do this by viewing the hidden config file /opt/fog/.fogsettings if that file contains a different IP address than is currently set you need to fix that too.

Once you have all of that fixed then you need to ensure you have the 5.6.18 FOS Linux kernel installed.

If you still have issues, open a new thread for each issue so we can keep the problems isolated.

@Sebastian-Roth Machine was working fine after re-image and then started having performance issues mainly with Office and did Office repair. We are probably going to pull machine back and do another RAM test along with Lenovo diagnostics. Maybe just even replace RAM.

We do want to upgrade but we have been pretty swamped withe people working from home, so hopefully we can do this when things settle down 🙂

@Daniel-Miller I looked into the speeds, auto-negotiating was set however the speed was messed up. It seems the port on the switch went bad. Plugged into another port and got the correct speed. Imaging seems to be back to normal now.

Updating the FOG server to the latest image appears to have resolved the issues. Good thing is did not have to modify anything after the update all models appear to be imaging successfully. 🙂

@imagingmaster21 Well I’m still suspecting that the linux user fog’s password as been reset/out of sync with what FOG’s configuration thinks it is. Your screen shot of the error is almost 100% proof. Also if you inspect /images/dev directory on the fog server you should see one or more directories in there that are named similar to mac addresses.

Please follow the steps here to resync the linux user fog’s password with the web ui: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/11203/resyncing-fog-s-service-account-password

@imagingmaster21 If you are keen to get into the details of why iPXE is hanging you can go ahead and compile your own debug enabled iPXE binaries to find out what’s exactly wrong on this hardware? Read the last two dozen messages of this forum thread to see if you wanna give it a try: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/11348/hyper-v-and-pxe-boot-to-fog-problems

Let us know if you need support with that.

Think I figured it out… The image I was able to capture worked and everything was the same except for on the one that did not work I ran some powershell scripts that removed the windows 10 apps and microsoft edge. So I think that just broke stuff I am guessing. Because when it captured it didn’t even try to resize the file system.

So I just added the files in the image to a folder in C:\ rather than to run the scripts. So far it is capturing.

I deleted the snapins and readded them and seems to be working with Chrome.

What do you mean by this? Working with Chrome as in the MSI is being deployed, or working with Chrome when you use Chrome to create the snapin?

I was able to get the one Powershell script to work via a Batch file. But I am having problems getting this bat file to work:
      PowerShell.exe -Command “&Import-StartLayout –LayoutPath C:\Installs\StartMenu.xml –MountPath $env:SystemDrive”

      Any ideas on this?

Definitely looks like the drive is dying. Try have a look at the S.M.A.R.T data of the drive, back up data and get rid of it.
