It’s still there, maybe someone with some expertise can help, I imagine a setting got wonked somewhere.

I just wanted to make sure you had the client installed and set up on the server for the actions 🙂

Check your windows network configuration on the clients. If you use DHCP, make sure they are set for that. If not, check with your network administrator to make sure your TCP/IP settings are correct.

This has been a very handy tool, but it only took me a couple years to realize it. I always created a new file to upload even just an updated copy of an image. It has been nice a couple of times with not knowing how to rearm the SysPrep and being able to redeploy the old image, but for the most part now knowing to rearm SysPrep and needing to update images so often it is awesome to be able to just copy over the existing image. This is good info to have!
Off the top of my head, it sounds like a bad hard drive; could be either server or host.

Are you pushing these images from the same server? Are they going to the same host? Were there any problems with uploading the Windows 7 image?
This, the drive will eventually go. Could be the disk, the cable. Reseat everything on the motherboard and give it a shot again. otherwise force Full duplex on your router and double check the onboard nic is also set to full duplex.

I ran check disc, have decided that this is a bad hard drive, the scan did fix some bad sectors but the image will still not upload, this HDD had problems when it came into my office, so I am trying to pull of a fresh reformat with windows 7 and it is still stopping at one spot. Thanks for you help!

Try a different Kernel for that machine. You can setup multiple kernels so if one kernel works on one model, but not another, you can fix that. The newest kernel necessarily work on all computers that the old one did from what I’ve seen.

There’s a good chance that most potential employers wont have heard of fog, however the skills associated with fog/deployment are likely to be very beneficial.
Explaining that you can switch to an open source deployment solution from an existing (potentially expensive) deployment solution and at the same time probably increase the speed at which machines can be deployed.
If you’re primarily a Windows technician, having some basic Linux skills can help career prospects too.
In both my previous and current role, I’ve switched the organisation away from slow, expensive commercial solutions to Fog and everyone has been pleased with the results.
