Thanks this worked.

Personally, I install smart notebook on every image. Then I leave a copy of the installer on the C:\ drive for actual smartboards. We just run the installer and choose “Smartboard Drivers” so it works with the smartboard.

It does not boot. Just goes to the bios screen.

Anything beyond 800x600 is not guaranteed to (and often doesn’t) work on a lot of monitors. We also found 800x600 scales best to different aspect ratios.

I would recommend that but the OP mentioned he was having issues with RAID setting up RAID to boot from. So I was addressing the possible solutions to avoid RAID. Otherwise getting a hardware RAID card would solve the issue all together.

No the storage shows as 2 different nodes, when you create an image definition you tell it what group, either backup or default.

One word: WebUI, Does Clonezilla have that? Nope, Does Windows Have that? Nope. Does FOG have it? Yep
Also i was turned away from clonezilla because it is not very professional with all the foreign writing on it, and WDS is not opensourse and only support Windows.
And my last point FOG is easy to setup, easier than samba in most cases, unlike clonezilla which is not extremely automated

@GoodGuyQ While this issue has been fixed back then I think it never really got tested by the users (who are a hell lot better at finding the odd bits and pieces that we developers just don’t think about)!! Would be awesome if you can give it a try and let us know. Be aware that things might go wrong. So always keep a full image at hand.

That said you could also do things like skipping only one partition out of three (and still do the MBR) by renaming the image files on your FOG server. Try renaming /image/<image-name>/d1p2.img for example to skip_d1p2.img and it should be skipped while deploying. At least it worked in older revisions. Let’s hope I didn’t break that when working out the single partition cloning stuff.

That’s your web directory backup. It’s incase things go wrong, you can just copy the previous one back to the web root.
