What version of FOG are you using, on SVN versions some have had better luck with the GRUB menu option over the new default.

I believe they will show up automatically on the host record when the client checks in from wireless and you just need to hit the approve button after they show up.

I would think downgrading at this point would be a bad idea I would suggest getting up to the latest svn which as of today is at 2961 and see if that resolves your issue.

SVN refers to Subversion an update method that allows the developers to distribute incremental patches as the make fixes to the developmental build If you go this route you are essentially running the latest beta every time you run the SVN updater. Several of the issues people are reporting in 1.2 are already fixed in the latest SVN but you can also introduce some strange new ones. If you decide to go this route just be prepared to tinker a bit to get it stable enough for day to day use thankfully the developers are very responsive and helpful. Advances are fast also with a new version almost daily and each one noticeably better the the previous.

Fixed Tom teamviewered in and edited the database to remove the orphaned task. Side note if you have existing snapins remember to add them to a storage group before attempting to update them.

• RE: Cannot upload Linux Image

Here is the mistake I made fog now has 2 kernels bzimage and bzimage32 both should be updated to the same version and the kernel update page will name them correctly for you just download the 32bit version and the 64/32 bit version both with the same version number. I was used to .32 in which you only had bzimage if your like me when you click on one and saw the bzimage32 file name presented you may have assumed it was wrong and renamed it which leads to kernel panics and other assorted weirdness. Take note I am by no means an expert but It did happen to me.

• Unable to register host no reason listed

Updated to svn 2944 from 2933 when I attempt to register a host it errors out with a message of unable to register for the following reason with no text after it then proceeds to do the inventory and then trys to send and gets stuck there. I also have reports of images not being pushed either and will test that in a bit as soon as a machine becomes available.

have setup for services like DHCP, apache, pxe, tftp, and NFS.

It is not recommended that you install this on a production system
as this script modifies many of your system settings.

This script should be run by the root user on Redhat or with sudo on Ubuntu.

** Notice ** Redhat users will need to disable SELinux and iptables in
order to use FOG
Please see our wiki for more information at http://www.fogproject.org/wiki

Here are the settings FOG will use:

On a Linux DHCP server you must set:
next-server

On a Windows DHCP server you must set:
option 066 & 067

Option 066 is the IP of the FOG Server: (e.g. 10.200.10.150)
