@Wayne-Workman thanks, I was meant to say that I had been through that article after searching the forums and finding similar posts.

I also rebooted the server and also tried again after updating, I know it doesn’t really help us in finding what went wrong but I ended up rolling back my FOG VM a few days (both master and node was able to deploy after this). I then updated the master to the latest (to match the storage node) and both are able to deploy images.

I feel I should add that I have since fixed this issue.

@falko If you have questions IM me on them. I couldn’t post everything because of contractual reasons. But I can help provide direction if you need it. The key with that process is to set the registry to tell it where to look for drivers. For now you can just create an empty c:\drivers folder change the registry key and stop. Everything in your image will work the same as it did before. Then you can get to the part about driver injection later.

SOLVED!!

After trying to download the client I now have the FOG Server set up after getting https://github-cloud.s3.amazonaws.com unblocked by our provider LGFL (along with the below four links from yesterday)

I may take you up on that in the near future. Involving FOG in my department’s three year plan, and I need to have full UEFI support. Long story short I would love to start experimenting with the 0.33 branch and UEFI. I’ve got other projects I need to finish first though.

so multicasting to two machines today the log had no timeouts.

so i multicast to 10 machines and the log would receive timeouts in it (multicast speed at 600mbs roughly)

any ideas on what i should be troubleshooting?

I prefer no desktop, currently using Ubuntu Server 10.04.04 with Webmin 1.590

don’t know how feasible it is but would also be good if it stored partition info, ie: Image 1 on server is 27gb, when deployed it is 100mb + 45gb of data
