The issues with the Dell x90s and x010s are know, but thank you for confirming on 390 and 3010 variants.

Yes, but it’s for wiki =]

@george1421 said in [ipxe.efi] No menu with Optiplex 3010:

As for the 3020s, I know that uefi device initialization does take time. Its almost at the point where you think its locked up, it will finish initializing the device.

Exactly and it’s aggaining!

@george1421 said in [ipxe.efi] No menu with Optiplex 3010:

FWIW, refind is used on the other end. When leaving the FOG iPXE menu to attempting to boot from the local uefi hard drive. So refind will not help you get iPXE to run.

Yes I know, but SANBOOT does not work.

@george1421 said in [ipxe.efi] No menu with Optiplex 3010:

You can use the FOS usb boot stick if you need to image these systems to bypass pxe booting if you need.

It’s true, but UEFI is only for test at the moment. I’ve made an image for notebook now.

We keep “scheduled” tasks listed so you have a sort of record of actions and their “activity” from a scheduled standpoint.

@Wayne-Workman I think the wake-up task must be delivered anyway. This poses no problem to simply start a station while another task is pending or in progress.

It’s great that it’s done, but simply directly updating would work too. Backups are always recommended, but such complex steps are not necessary.

@Sebastian-Roth
DC synchronize time only with computers added in AD but FOGClient can’t add computer in AD…
I found a solution by synchronizing time just before the sysprep command.

edit: I finally installs the client after deploying the post via a script called by unattended file.

Following a discussion with @Sebastian-Roth, we finally found it!
The problem is the speed negotiation with the switch . I’ll update the firmware of the switches and make feedback.

Not sure that remove the reserved partition is the good solution. 😉

So fog wipe gives you a timeout of 60 seconds (if you decide not to wipe the drive).

Changing it in the fog settings doesn’t make any difference. Any way to disable that timeout or change it ?

Then it gives an error about updating the database (even if the hdds partition table is zeroed), any way to disable that as well ? thanks alot.
Going to go out on a limb and ask, Does the host have an image assigned to it?
Yes, a lot of image… but maybe I can remove /var/www/fog and re-run install script ?

edit : it’s ok with my method : solved !
