      Description
      Hello,

      I’ve the same problem on Lenovo X1 Gen 6.
      As @george1421 suggested, I turned to FOS. Unfortunately I don’t understand the documentation to build an image.

      Thanks for your help.

      Solution
      This works well with the adapter provided by Lenovo.

      The issues with the Dell x90s and x010s are know, but thank you for confirming on 390 and 3010 variants.

      Yes, but it’s for wiki =]

      @george1421 said in [ipxe.efi] No menu with Optiplex 3010:

      As for the 3020s, I know that uefi device initialization does take time. Its almost at the point where you think its locked up, it will finish initializing the device.

      Exactly and it’s aggaining!

      @george1421 said in [ipxe.efi] No menu with Optiplex 3010:

      FWIW, refind is used on the other end. When leaving the FOG iPXE menu to attempting to boot from the local uefi hard drive. So refind will not help you get iPXE to run.

      Yes I know, but SANBOOT does not work.

      @george1421 said in [ipxe.efi] No menu with Optiplex 3010:

      You can use the FOS usb boot stick if you need to image these systems to bypass pxe booting if you need.

      It’s true, but UEFI is only for test at the moment. I’ve made an image for notebook now.

      @george1421
      For my part, I tested on several models with BIOS update:

      • Optiplex 390 (BIOS A05): not capable
      • Optiplex 390 (BIOS A14): same as above
      • Optiplex 3010 (BIOS A17): does not work, devices initialization never ends
      • Optiplex 3010 (BIOS A21): same as above
      • Optiplex 3020 (BIOS A03): works, but devices initialization is very slow (REFIND_EFI recommended?)
      • Optiplex 3020 (BIOS A18): same as above

      I did not test 7xx/7xxx series because they have the same behavior than 3xx/3xxxx series.

      Hello,

      I recently created a new Windows 10 image in UEFI. The capture was done from VMware vSphere without too much trouble. I wanted to test the deployment of the image on one of our stations and here is what I have as a message:

      I have of course followed the following documentation: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=BIOS_and_UEFI_Co-Existence

      It works with %WINDIR%\sysnative\windowspowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe!
      Why FOG don’t use by default this path?

      Thanks a lot for your help!

      edit: can you mark the post from Joe as solution please?

      My apologies for my absence.

      @Wayne-Workman
      I think you put your finger on the problem.

      @jbsclm
      AVG don’t remove this key.

      @joe-schmitt
      %WINDIR%\sysnative\windowspowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe does not exist.
      I test with %SystemRoot%\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe but not working…

    • RE: Delayed tasks not working

      Thanks for your answer @Tom-Elliott and sorry, I had not seen that detail. The task should be deleted when it is completed, as for snapins. Or put an icon as for ping stations.

      Hello,

      I created a delayed snapin task but it doesn’t work. I read somewhere that it’s necessary to modify some files for GMT compatibility but for tests, I’ve programmed two tasks at two different hours. First task, detailed in the video below, run two minutes after programmed time. The second task is programmed to start at 22:00.

      This morning not any task has run.

      Thanks in advance for your help.

      @Wayne-Workman I think the wake-up task must be delivered anyway. This poses no problem to simply start a station while another task is pending or in progress.

      First issue:

      • Boot workstation (snapin is pending)
      • Press ESC to prompt logon for FOG boot menu
      • Enter credentials
      • Return to prompt where ESC is needed to see FOG boot menu

      No problem. Debian stable can’t use php7 with default repository.

      @Sebastian-Roth
      I think is not necessary on current stable but maybe for stretch (next stable).
      Ubuntu is “based” on Debian testing repo, php-bcmath may be necessary for him?

      Thank you guys, here’s the procedure I finally used:

      • export old FOG database (OLD_fog.sql)
      • export new FOG database (NEW_fog.sql)
      • delete all tables in new FOG database
      • import old FOG database
      • upgrade via FOG interface
      • export hosts via UI
      • delete all tables
      • import backup of new FOG database
      • import hosts via UI (no upgrade needed)

      SOLVED ! 🙂
