@sebastian-roth Perfect. The original install was through a Group Policy .msi push, so I added the newer agent to replace the old one. Appreciate the quick info!

@sebastian-roth Yes, you’re absolutely right! The original had a secondary MAC matching the clone. I deleted it and expect the clone to show up shortly. Thanks for your patience! 🙂

@altitudehack Thanks and sorry for the long time it took. Finally found time to fix the issue and push to dev-branch. Please update to the latest.

@tom-elliott hard to say. Most PCs are left running so I wouldn’t know if they were woken up or not. I can try to find a couple more to monitor.

@altitudehack Confirmed this was caused by running out of disk space. Growing the disk and retrying it worked, so this is solved. Thank you for your time!

Sorry for pointing the finger at FOG but it’s the only non-commercial software installed on this particular laptop that I installed under my non-admin account.

Those two sentences don’t make sense to me. One is saying fog-client was installed using the non-admin account and the other says no.

The fog-client installs a service that should run as local system account and not using AD-accounts at all. Though the fog-client is trying to join the domain on every cycle it runs. If your non-admin account is used as AD-credentials (FOG web UI -> host settings -> Active Directory) and the password was changed at some point I can imagine this to happen as described. But the AD-account would have to have rights to join a computer to the domain - don’t think a non-admin account can do this.

@ITHand Have you read through this topic start to end? May I ask you to do the database queries mentioned below and see if you can find out if one of the MAC addresses is already in the DB and which one it is. Take a very close look at all the network interfaces you have in your network manager on Windows - also tunnel interfaces and such.

@altitudehack To me it looks like you have found and fixed what was causing the error in your case. So I’ll mark this solved. Thanks for posting here. I am sure it will be useful for others in the future!

I would have to agree.

Snapins, at least if I remember correctly, can now be applied individually regard less of if they’re actually associated with the host. I can make the text change. Ultimately, like what you did for the Image Resize, I’d like to use the ( i ) icon’s to be more indicative of the actions and helpfully make fog a bit more natural to understand, but this isn’t a “bug” persay, and non instrumental in the overall functionality of FOG.

I’m sure most understand, I tend to hate making text based changes. Not because they’re hard or unreasonable, but text - in my eyes - is not as important to the actual functionality. This can wait. We will work to fix this, but it certainly, in my eyes, does not have to be an immediate thing.
