Otherwise I will be obliged to use a WDS…
I dont see any issues with Windows 7 64 bit. I have been using it since Jan 2010 with Fog .30 and now .32. I work with over 300 Windows 7 64 bit computers and I have never used sysprep. I dont have any issues with kms either I just make sure my image doesnt join the domain until after deployment.

I apply SP1 as an offline installer (you also get an extra count to 4 re-arms total if you do this) and I also apply all windows updates to the image before uploading and its always worked with various Dell, HP and Acer laptops and desktops on my school network. I run checkdisk, ccleaner also and then defrag about 4 times before an upload image. I still run fogprep and dont have fog client installed and havent seen the issue you have mentioned at all. Hope that helps!

I don’t get that error with SP1? My SOE has SP1 and I haven’t had any probems with .32

Thank you guys i have imaged about 4000 computers with fog and it works!
There are more reasons to run fog than any other Imaging software i know about, so thank you guys, Fog is awesome! -
Is location going to be an intergrated for distributed storage nodes, like the location patch, and distributed network in FOG .33?
-
Any update on when we might see .33 RC1?
-
ETA of 0.33 ? I really need ext4 support. keep up the good work!

So I have to ask, if you’ve never used sysprep, how do you image the computers with a standard image (software/updates etc) without the image having the same name for everything?
-
Please where is a 0.33 version because I have Ext4 partition in my network ?
Thank
-
pluneau, have you tried upgrading the kernel on FOG to 3.2.4?
-
And where 3.2.4 ?
-
-
3.2.4 can be downloaded from here, http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeghost/files/Kernels/Kernel-3.2.4.core/Kernel-3.2.4.core/download
-
Then you need to backup bzImage in /tftpboot/fog/kernel. so I renamed mine bzImage.backup (If this doesn’t work, either log into the computer under the FOG account, or chmod the folder)
-
When you copy the 3.2.4 kernel to this location rename it to bzImage (note that the case is important) and you should be all set.
-
-
OK Thank
-
what’s news in this version ?
-
the 3.2.4 kernel should support the EXT4 filesystem. All the other changes for version .33 of FOG are listed in the first post of this thread.

Upgraded to 3.2.4 kernel and can in fact image my linux box with ext4 now, though because it is multiple partitions, it takes a long time to do it.Looking fwd to .33 to work/play with!
