You are aware that we use PHP for a reason right?

We need to pass some form of communication and obtain information quickly. Bootstrap looks like it delivers and works best for static content pages with some inclusion of dynamic principles for menus and fluidity.

While this is interesting, I don’t think it would work for our needs.

I was thinking about this the other day,
Would this be something that could be done with PHP and iPXE using the ${product} field from iPXE?

e.g.

if the ${product} = OptiPlex 755
That way if we have problem PC’s that have a known product ID we can manually issue them a kernel over the default one.

Cheers,

there has never been a version 0.34, but the hostname is still there if you export the report. looks like a small oversight on the page.
Why is there a partition on the same disk that is your “local backup”?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to have the “local backup” on a separate disk?
I agree, the process of backups were created before I was hired on…currently using Ghost 2003 boot up disc and creating images on 2nd partition. Our systems are loaded with Operating systems dating back to XP -> Windows 8.1, along with different languages of each…so you can imagine how many images are is stored. We do not use volume licenses…each image is retail.

This has now been added. If you’re using trunk versions of FOG the SVN version number will be displayed on the “Version” of the file.

if you keep backups of host lists, you could just reimport the one’s that were deleted
(i know, not a solution. but a tip for the way things exist now)

When we finally get around to this, I think it will be all to easy to add, especially considering we already have image replication, it would be just as easy to pass the snapin’s with this process.

Keep your eye out I hope we can have a prototype for this in the near future.

This has been added, but only to the group. So to “mass delete” hosts, you first have to create a group with the hosts you want to remove, then within the group page, delete the group and choose to delete all the hosts from the page.

I guess I don’t fully understand the request.

The hover part get’s “de-hovered” because the data returned is cleared, then resent. This is why it defaults to “unhovered”. I could fix this behaviour but the idea of the active tasks page is to display the tasks, not really the progress information directly. That’s just an additional “feature” that was added to make all of our FOG’ing days a little bit easier.

It’s not a huge concern to me, but I also don’t think a FOG Setting for this is warranted. If you want to play in the javascripts to get this for yourself, you’re more than welcome to it.

As all the others state,

The filename doesn’t matter from a system perspective, but when it comes to tracking bugs or finding potential issues, searching on google deter’s to the “assumed” default of the files. Meaning, if we relabel undionly.kpxe during install to pxelinux.0, and you were having problems, people would likely search for pxelinux.0 which would not return the information you need properly. It would become extremely difficult to track down issues.
