i would recommend to create a new image (UEFI Mode), it’s not impossible to convert from MBR to GPT but the Partition Layout and Partition size is different to MBR.

Hi,

i don’t use that tricky registry tweaks for making a profile to default.
Ever tried STRG + SHIFT + F3 in Express Settings to enter Audit mode?
Then do your changes and fire a sysprep:

sysprep /oobe /generalize /shutdown /unattend:c:\pathtoanswerfile\unattend.xml
Make sure your unattend.xml has the copyprofile option enabled!!!
Now take your image.

If you ever need to make changes restore to vm again let it boot and goto audit mode again: sysprep /audit /reboot

I have that parts scripted for my self and can give you that stuff if you need.

Never try to uninstall staged appx apps or you break sysprep, also don’t use O&O Shutup or Stuff like that this also breaks sysprep.

I found the following information, you are allowed to reimage until you bougth at least one vollume license. So having one volume license should be enough to gain reimaging rights even if you use oem in real.

Reimaging is permitted if the copies made from the Volume Licensing media are identical to the originally licensed product . Volume Licensing customers who have licensed Microsoft software products from an OEM, through a retail source, or under any agreement other than their Microsoft Volume Licensing agreement may use copies made from Microsoft Volume Licensing media. Customers can use these copies from Microsoft media only if they are the same product and version, contain the same components, and are in the same language.

Do I have rights to reimage Office products available through FPP and OEM?
Yes. Volume Licensing customers are allowed to re-image Office acquired trough FPP or OEM as long as the products fulfill all of the reimaging eligibility requirements listed above, in addition to the installation and activation requirements per the terms of the licensed software.

Do I have the right to reimage if I do not have Software Assurance?
Yes. All Microsoft Volume Licensing customers, regardless of having Software Assurance, are able to reimage as long as the eligibility requirements for reimaging are met.

I only know this issue regarding to a network share which covers the icon and the client had no read access yet. When then windows is trying to load the icon it couldn’t reach the share readable and therefore the icon is empty.

What if you check the icons symbol settings? Is it still pointing to the correct local ico file?
Please show a screener of the shortcut properties.

If you choose the same icon will it be displayed after you close the properties?

Maybe it’s an icon cache problem, before i sysprep i always make a cleanmgr run with all possible settings enabled to clean the system up.

yes, there was something in some release notes about removing it with next or maybe with some of the next release(s)

DPInst could also be a possible Solution where you can Build your custom drivers install pack:

For example, we have HP Probooks 650 with a WLAN enabled/disable Button, you need a Driver so the Button LED will lit different (OMG). Therefore i used dpinst:

To run dpinst silent use:

dpinst.exe /q /se

You don’t need to configure something for dpinst, just place a driver with a inf starting with as root into the dpinst.exe folder.

You can place more then one driver in the same folder as long as you don’t overwirte any files (maybe also subfolders are supported, i am not sure).

@Quazz Hi, thank you i could fix the problem it was really an access problem, right for everyone was missing, i broke the share and inherited everyone for only that folder and now it works. Great
