Fog 7645 and Client 10.6 Printers and Snapins not working
-
Hi,
like the subject is telling printers and snapins are not detected by fog client (10.6) fog (7645).
For the host i have configured:- Renaming
- Domain joining
- Printers
- Snapins
Renaming and domain joining is working well but the client log tells me there are no printers and or snapins to install.
This is my client configuration:
Here is the Fog Client Log: http://pastebin.com/KRjNXhNT
Host renaming and joining domain worked like a charm.
Is there a problem with my current trunk version and or the fog client 10.6?

Snapins are taskings.
If the tasking isn’t there, it’s not going to try installing the snapin.

@Tom-Elliott Sorry i don’t understand. What do you mean with tasking? Afaik there is nothing more to do then creating snaping and activating it for a host and then it should be installed. What do i miss?

@x23piracy snapins install programs. Because of this they have never just been installed because it was assigned to the host. There is a tasking that will run the snapin. Download tasks automatically create this tasking but if you just want it to run you go to host tasks advanced and either choose all or single snapin.

@Tom-Elliott ok i will check that out and what about the printer problem? it’s not the same problem i also had where the driver wasn’t installed but the port, now with 10.6 client it doesnt show that there is a printer that should be installed in log. It looks like i’ve never added a printer to install for that host but there is one (screenshot).

@Tom-Elliott i tried what you told me in advanced tasks i deloyed the snapin, but it will not be installed, there is nothing in the log (response no snapins) i tried it in two ways, computer off with wakeonlan and with a running system without a logged on user.
Is that tasking thing something new? i could swear i had a teamviewer snapin before that has been deployed without interacting with tasks.
