      @AUTH-IT-Center Hi thanks for the reply.

      Yes I’ve read that link, my problem is that I’ve done the password migrations “backwards” - ie I’ve copied the passwords from the database to .fogsettings instead of the other way around as specified on that link.

      @george1421 This seems positive, looks like we may have a working solution by the end of the year. Unfortunately as the laptops we are testing this on are the CEO’s and CTO’s new ones, I will not be able to keep hold of them much longer and so they will be unavailable for testing in 2 weeks time. I will keep following the progress of this forum but wont be able to lend a hand to testing.

      @Tom-Elliott Apologies, I don’t know what went wrong there but somehow I got an incomplete version of your changes. git is a confusing beast to me :). I’ve now checked again that I’m running dev-branch and I can confirm that all the warnings have gone.

      Thanks again.

      @markg said in SSH login while imaging:

      I’ve no problem with them all having the same password so that was really easy

      Just understand that the password you set will not be persistent in that once FOS Linux reboots it will go back to its default password since FOS Linux itself is not persistent or has any persistent storage. You can surely do what you need with a post init script. We also use post init scripts to setup specific hardware/software combinations like software raid solutions and such before imaging can begin.

      @pep said in Using a separate NIC for multicast:

      web = http: //192.168.1.100/fog/ ftp = 192.168.1.100 storage = 192.168.1.100: / images / dev / storageip = 192.168.1.100

      Thanks! That works. I can leave my storage settings as default and Multticast will use eno2, then for anything not multicast I can set the correct parameters for eno3.

      Just a note that for deployment the storage variable needs to be ip.address:/images/ (without the dev/)

      @george1421 Thanks for the help … ohh Apple… on booting to the debug kernel I’m asked to ‘press Enter to continue’. However, it appears that as well no driver for the nvme, there’s also no driver for the keyboard. So, locating a USB keyboard I was able to determine the following:

      Bug in 1.5.0?

      Possibly. 1.5.0 is long away and I don’t have all the changes in the back of my mind… 😉

      So updating to the latest will fix the issue, that’s good!
