Hello all,
I have attempted to upload an HP Stream 11 image to FOG 7410 a few times. Each time it uploads, It makes it through partclone then fails to update the database.
I made a test image with a Dell Latitude E6500 to see if FTP is working on the FOG Server. That image uploaded fine (from the onboard NIC) and updated the database instantly
I am uploading the HP Stream using an Official HP USB to Ethernet adapter.
Any suggestions?

@Quazz I can FTP into my fog server. I don’t think that is the issue. However, I rebooted the server and am trying the upload again.
I wrote changes the booted the machine to the network to capture the image. It went through partclone successfully. Now it is failing to update the database! What should I do now?

Here is the listing. How do i find the location of mmcblk0?
The previous image showed a listing of all directories in the /dev/ directory.
There is no sda directory!
Is there any other possible directories?

I have tried to upload a windows 10 image twice to the FOG Server. In both attempts, FOG gets hung up at “Saving oringinal partition table”
I am using an HP usb ethernet adapter to image with the has_usb_nic=1 argument. Could that be the issue?
I am running Trunk 7410.
Any ideas?

I have tried updating a few times before. My server seems to never complete the upgrade. After attempting to upgrade, I cannot access the web GUI and the database scheme never updates.
OK!! Our server is on Trunk 7410. How would i set up the two servers on different subnets to communicate and replicate to each other?
OK. I have all of our school’s images on the “default” storage group. Those replicate on the same subnet. Could i create a new storage group called “Green” and have that replicate to the other school’s storage node?
Our main server is on the 10.21.0.0/21 network currently we have all of our storage nodes on the same subnet.
Another local school with the same ISP on the 10.23.0.0/21 network is having troubles with their fog server. We said we could have a storage node at their school and create a new storage group for images. I just want to make sure fog is capable of sending images across subnets.
Hello,
I decided to rebuild my fog server from scratch a few days ago. I initially installed Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 on 5 machines. (1 master and 4 nodes).
I did the following to all machines in this order.
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get upgrade
Updated the OS to Ubuntu 14.04
Assigned Static IPs
Installed FOG 1.2.0 (1 server and 4 storage nodes)
Updated the Server to Trunk 7324 and added the storage nodes still on 1.2.0
Updated the nodes to Trunk 7324.
Copied my previous images from another HDD to the /images directory and readded the image definitions from the web GUI’s “Image Management”
I configured from the Storage Management tab “DefaultMember” which is my Main Server to have 0 Max Clients and the other 4 Storage Nodes to have 10 Max Clients.
Success!!!
The Images replicated from the fog server to the 4 nodes. And from FOG web GUI homepage under Storage Group Activity, I see 40 Free. Which is Perfect for how it was configured. Then I decided to up my imaging capabilities by adding two more storage nodes (using the same process) and upon completion, I have 0 Free and my Web GUI is running super slow!
What should i do!
Sorry, Sebastian. Right after the error occured I reinstalled the OS again. This time I put on FOG 1.2.0 first and then upgraded to Trunk 7254. The basic fog server is working now.
All i have left to do is move the images that i copied off of one of the Storage Nodes /images/ directory to the Servers Image directory and then attach my storage nodes. Correct?
After a fresh install of ubuntu, I updated ubuntu then i proceeded by installing fog as a normal server by using the commands
sudo apt-get update && apt-get install git
sudo -i
git clone https://github.com/FOGProject/fogproject.git /root/fogproject
cd /root/fogproject/bin
./installfog.sh
According to Upgrade to trunk
Now, i am still getting that same “500” error when trying to access it via a web browser. What is going on??!!??
I could not figure it out. Consequently, I reinstalled ubuntu on the master. Is there any way to either transfer the images from one of the Storage nodes back to the master or Turn a storage node into the master?
On the fog server, the php5-fpm service is not running. could this be the issue below?

It says you need to Install/Update your Database Schema.
You can do it by going to 10.21.0.105/fog/management/
which i did over 30 minutes ago using Firefox browser from the server. It is still sitting there on a blank white page. The HDD light indicator does not show much activity.
Ok. I am in the process of upgrading to the latest version of Trunk (7212).
We did find a work around by using the legacy password for out AD Account. Once the server upgrade completes, I will install updated clients on a few test computers to see if that resolves the issue.
I updated from 1.2.0
I used the client on the fog server. It says “New FOG Client (Recommended)”
0.1 is the version of the fog tray. if that helps.
