@Tom-Elliott is there a config file i can check to verify the mysql username is “fogstorage” and the password is set proper?
@Tom-Elliott I did update all nodes to RC-5 and only 1 node and the server to RC-6
I just upgraded the FOG server to RC-6. I looked at ALL of my nodes immediately after upgrading the server and they are not happy… they are saying “FOGService: FOGService- Waiting on mysql to become available”
What might be causing this?
@Tom-Elliott
are the line ending problems fixed in RC-6 or will it be in the next release?
@Tom-Elliott @Wayne-Workman Thanks for looking into this. I manage 2 school district which is why i was trying to implement 2 locations. “default” being the main district and “GREEN” being the second district.
Originally, The goal was to set up a server to be hosted on site at GREEN but that never happened. Consequently, we do all of the imaging from our building and I currently have all of the “GREEN” images also assign to the “default” storage group.
I do all of the imaging currently at our building.
I set the master to handle clients so I can image for now. This is sufficient for the moment.
Should I upgrade to RC-6
Hmmmnn interesting. I used an ftp client on windows and line 23 contains =& on that file. However, when i view the SAME file on the fog server using vi, vim, and nano i do not see the =& on line 23.
Looks like i will just wait a few days and then upgrade again.
Thanks for all of your help!
If i set the Master node to 5, imaging will occur. However, like you said, we do not want this and would rather have the nodes handle imaging. Do I have to manually configure the nodes for location services somehow?
I am also getting a bunch of errors in the Apache Log file. I dont know what the errors are referring to? Any ideas?

I have upgrade all of the fog storage nodes and the server to RC-5. I am still having the same issue. Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Ok. I will give this a try and will let you know the results!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Hello all,
I ran into this problem after upgrading FOG about a week ago to version 1.3.0-RC-1. After the upgrade, I have not been able to send any images from my 6 storage nodes. I have been able to previously.
I have created 2 locations (default and GREEN) and 2 storage groups (default and GREEN). My images that I am trying to send are assigned to the “default” storage group. I am perplexed because all of the settings look right in FOG
Any help is app
I upgraded the server on Wednesday. 8303? I think. I am out of the building now. I will have to check the BIOS. Thank You!!
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to send a image that i transferred from an old FOG Server running 0.32. I set the image definitions on our fog server to specify the old format (Partimage). I am now trying to deploy the image to a Dell Dimension 1100 and am receiving the error:
Image failed to restore and exited with exit code 0 (writeImage)
Args Passed: /images/Dimension/sys.img.* /dev/sda1
I receive the error right after FOG “Attempts to download the image using PartImage”
I tried to send the same image to another model on two different computers (both Lenovo ThinkCentre M90z) for testing purposes earlier today and the Imaging Process completed. However, upon reboot, it came up to a black screen that said “A Disk Read Error has Occured Press Control Alt Delete to restart” I figured that this is most likely a MBR problem?? I booted to a windows disk and started running “chkdsk /R /X” to see if that would resolve the Disk Read Error. Command is still running.
So I know the image is able to be sent from server to hosts but am unsure why I am having difficulties sending it to the intended Model (Dell Dimension 1100)
Very similar to this image except the Argument is
Args Passed: /images/Dimension/sys.img.* /dev/sda1
Hello all,
I have tried upgrading my server a few times before and I have always ran into a problem after running the install.sh script when it asks you to update the database scheme by navigating to FOG’s URL. It get hung up there everytime when i have data in the database. (which i do!)
Is there a tutorial that i can follow? or should it be as simple as performing a git pull and then upgrading?
OK. Thank you. What is the latest version of the FOG Client and can i get it when i update my server?
OK. I just restarted the computer and the FOGService is stopped. The startup type is set to automatic so it should be running.
I also cant just click start it pops up and says Error: 1067 The process closed unexpectedly
64 bit and windows 10. I am signed in as the local administrator
Is there a way to get the updated client?
Thanks for your speedy reply!
Hello all,
I upgraded to trunk a few months ago. Now, my windows computers are not being joined to the domain or getting there hostname changed by FOG. ( It was working before. ) I am running Trunk 7410 and have the FOGService.msi installed on my clients. They are not talking nicely.
I have the FOG_AD_DEFAULT_PASSWORD set to the plaintext password in FOG Settings --> Active Directory Defaults. I also have our Domain, and Domain Account configured as well.
Any suggestions?

I moved images off of an OLD fog server running FOG 0.32 to our current server. Now when I try to deploy those images, I run into an error just as it goes into Partclone to image. Is there anything special that needs to be done to make these old images compatible with Trunk or should i build new images from scratch?
Partclone says read image_hdr device_size error
It says, after partclone exits,
“Image failed to restore and exited with exit code 0 (write image)
Args Passed: /images/Dell2100/sys.img.* /dev/sda1”
Thanks!
