      @george1421
      After new test, when I’m run in debug:

      • NIC is on everytimes
      • ifconfig no IP
      • ping no response

      If I run udhcpc -i eth0 or /etc/init.d/S40network stop && sleep 2/etc/init.d/S40network start, everything is working.

      @Tom-Elliott
      Ok, when I run your command, I get an IP 🙂

      @Sebastian-Roth: I have found that once the prompt , the network card is active. I have of course no IP , but it is already very good. The startup script not that be the problem? An IP request too early or something like that, right?

      I will try to start a 14.04.4 Lubuntu to see if the NIC is recognized or not.

      Now, result of your commands:
      cli

      After udhcpc -i eth0

      • NIC LED is on
      • have an IP
      • ping works

      @Tom-Elliott This is not a credential issue but directory…

      Bad value during install ?

      /var/www/fogservice/ipxe/

      Instead of:

      /var/www/fog/service/ipxe/

      Kernel is downgraded at 3.19.3 and everything works!

      I just want to clarify that whatever the machine used (Optiplex or ThinkCentre), the first screenshot remains true.

      When I want to downgrade, I’ve the following message:

      Error: Failed to install new kernel

      On FOG 1.2.0 I had version 3.19.3.

    • RE: Strange registration messages

      On Optiplex 390, 790, 3010 and 7090, no issue.

      On ThinkCentre E73:

      • on FOG boot menu, I choose “Quick Registration and Inventory” (same with all options to inventory)
      • messages on the first screenshot appears
      • after few second, message on the second screenshot appears

      I had no problem with the ThinkCentre on FOG 1.2.0 , but I need to deploy Windows 10. So I reinstalled a fresh version of FOG from the git. Currently, I’m on FOG build 6519 and Debian Jessie.

      @george1421 said:

      @aruhuno It would be recommended that you upgrade to the trunk build (pre release version of 1.3.0) to use the new client. The new client relies on the upgraded version of fog to function properly. https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Upgrade_to_trunk

      If you insist on using the new client with 1.2.0 you can download the compiled service from github here: https://github.com/FOGProject/fog-client/releases

      I can’t use unstable release because I’m in a company 😞
      Thanks for link, I have trouble with GitHub.

      @Tom-Elliott said:

      @george1421 while you can certainly down and even install it, almost none of it will work. Trunk and the new client were kind of built side by side. Nothing will actually work because it needs the ca and public key to even start communicating to the server, both of which are not created in 1.2.0.

      Thank you for that. A release date is already scheduled for the 1.3.0?
