RC10 Broken Items on upgrade
-
@Tom-Elliott So will need to go back in the snapin mgmt, and repoint to the file? or do I need to recreate 750 snapins?
-
Any other ideas, pretty much dead in the water at the moment. Im down for remote control if needed.
-
This is what I was talking about earlier. This show up before the image kicks off:
-
@adukes40 Those messages are fine. For snapins you don’t need to reupload them. I have to fix updating a snapin so the hash isnt erroneously overwritten but for now please just set the snapin hashes back to an empty string
-
@Tom-Elliott Is that the sHash=‘’ command?
-
@adukes40 Yes. Now because th snapins have all failed, you won’t see them manually update their hashes. To update the hashes you will need to re deploy the snapins like any other tasking.
-
@Tom-Elliott for simplicity and if possible I’d say set all snapins to one host and run an all snapins task. This way you don’t have 50 systems just sitting around waiting for hashes to catch back up
-
@Tom-Elliott I set all snapins to one machine, Told it to install all, and still yells about the hash.
-
@adukes40 Can you post a fog.log for us?
-

And the hash for that is blank?
-
-
@adukes40 All nodes are on the same level and running?
-
And assigned all of them like you said
-
@Tom-Elliott All nodes are running RC-10 and powered on. and Enabled. The services should still be stopped from before.
-
Mind running:
wget -O /var/www/fog/lib/client/snapinclient.class.php https://raw.githubusercontent.com/FOGProject/fogproject/working-RC-11/packages/web/lib/client/snapinclient.class.php
Then redeploy a snapin again?

@adukes40 said in RC10 Broken Items on upgrade:
(also weird it says created today at 7:29, this script has been made since May/June, unless this is by design)
pretty sure that refers to the task’s creation date/time. Like when it was deployed.
-
@adukes40 I notice in your screenshots you’re using the location plugin. Newer FOG RC enforces location settings for snapins if the location stuff is setup. If the snapin doesn’t exist at the location server assigned to the host, it will say snapin doesn’t exist and file not found and other similar stuff.
-
I think this is why the client updating is broke:
