Image download is stuck at 99%
-
@ch3i nothing …
-
-
Is it possible for you to give your FOG server a reboot?
-
@ch3i only one storage, I tried to download the “ghost Image” over the task management, now it displays 0.0GB.
@Wayne-Workman yes I try it. -
@Tune389 If the reboot don’t solve your problem, check your FOG log files or try your task in debug mode.
-
@ch3i still same problem, after a upload the Image have a size but don’t exist.
and there are no errors in the log files … -
I thought we were troubleshooting “Downloads”.
Uploads is a totally different story.
Please check your FTP credentials inside your storage node, and in FOG Configuration -> Fog Settings -> TFTP_FTP credentials.
Also, please look inside of /images/dev and see if there is a directory in there with a MAC address on it.
Also, please check this out:

-
@Wayne-Workman he has always checked FTP and /dev
-
-
Can you run this?
ls -laR /images
and post the output?
-
ls -laR /images /images: total 24 drwxrwxrwx 6 root root 4096 May 26 14:54 . drwxr-xr-x 25 root root 4096 May 27 08:48 .. drwxrwxrwx 4 root root 4096 May 27 09:08 dev drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 May 20 16:45 Image20150520 drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 May 26 14:54 Image20150526 -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 May 13 10:36 .mntcheck drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 May 13 10:36 postdownloadscripts
-
@Tune389 You don’t have .mntcheck in your /images/dev folder ? You don’t have any files at all inside Image20150526 or Image20150526 ?
-
@Wayne-Workman only 2 folders named like a mac adress. Image-20150526:
ls -l total 8600324 -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2 May 26 14:16 d1.fixed_size_partitions -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 1048576 May 26 14:22 d1.mbr -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 190 May 26 14:22 d1.minimum.partitions -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 30 May 26 14:16 d1.original.fstypes -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 190 May 26 14:16 d1.original.partitions -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 May 26 14:16 d1.original.swapuuids -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8644532 May 26 14:22 d1p1.img -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8797012661 May 26 14:54 d1p2.img
I try now a complete reinstallation.
-
I did these steps …
- clear all files in /images
- delete databse from fog
- run fog installation
- upload an image (works fine)
- try an download - but failed .mntcheck is missing
- create .mntcheck file
- try the download again - it works. (unicast)
- try multicast - failed on “starting to restore image” without an error.
- reboot fog server
- try it again - nope …
- run again the fog setup (last time it fixed the problem)
- start multicast
- 97% - 98% - 99% - 100%
- and after 5 min still at 100% … no reboot …
- after a hard reboot - problem again partition size is not correct.

@Tune389 Hi, have you test multicast with multiple hosts ? If yes, could you try with a single host.
-
@ch3i same Problem
-
@Tune389 I’ll try to multicast on my server.
-
-
@ch3i at “starting to restore image” ?
-
@Tune389 Yep. Have that in my log :

Reading the log, that’s the speedest multicast deploy of the world lol
