I can not download image
-
Well guys, I tell them, after many twists and turns, I manage to operate my Niebla.
I have my Fog mounted on a Virtual Box on Debian 7.8 and the version is 1.2.0.
Create four other virtual pcs to test. 1 I have already installed XP OS with some applications, and who would believe the image in the Fog.
4 pcs regristro virtual Niebla, and I think 2 images of the pc that has the OS for later, clone the image to the remaining three.
Until here everything seems fine. Deputy screen images.
The problem is when I try to download that image at 3 pcs empty, shoot me an error and I restarted the pc.
I attached image error.
They hope they can help, and sorry for my writing, as much is not English, I do travez a translator.
Thank you very much to all !!! I hope your answers !!!

When FOG deploys an image it expects an existing partition even if its just blank but if your drives are presenting as unformated you will error out.
-
I wonder if there’s any way to make it work if there are no existing partitions…
-
So … I have to do is reformat my drive and to create an NTFS partition eg empty ???
I’m already trying and in a little while I comment the news !!!
Thank you very much !!!
-
Well, try formatting the disk of my virtual pc and creating a ntfs partition and has not been … same error …
Any other ideas ???
-
The XP not imaging is a known problem for 1.2.0 and is fixed in the current development versions.

For Debian, follow the Ubuntu commands.
FYI, Ubuntu is a branch off of Debian.
Just as Fedora is a branch off of Red Hat.MOST Linux distributions (that aren’t Debian or Red Hat) are branches off of Debian or Red Hat.
-
I apologize if I’m a little annoyed, I’m taking my first steps recently both Debian and with Fog …
I put great gusto and try to always search the forum, but sometimes the problems outweigh me !!!
I hope to be happy to help !!! Thank you very much !!!
-
Well, there are installing … once you finish … I’ll be able to download my images of XP and Win7 without problems ???
The procedure is the same ???
Sorry to insist and bother much, but I would like to learn much more about Niebla, as fence doing things …
Thank you very much for your help and patience !!!
-
Procedure is more or less the same for creating images, yes.
Yes, XP and Win 7 should work with, I’ll just say, minimal problems. If you do have issues please let us know so we can try to assist.
If you need, you can write in your own language and use translate.google.com. Just let us know what your original language is and I can try to translate my stuff in your native tongue.
Again it’s not perfect, but it should at least give both of us an idea of what you’re attempting to say.
-
Tom Elliott thank you very much for your help.
Of course I’m using translate.google.com to translate what I mean to, so maybe there are some inconsistencies in language.
My original language is Spanish, I’m from Argentina, and to be honest, in English, very little to no …
Thanks again for your support !!!

Well guys … I tell you … after installing again what I said, my fog returned to start, but of the 4 pcs that had registered only appeared one … the one with the caul SO had the 2 images …
I did not care much, and returned to record the other 3 … they have an empty disk … and which clonaria les SW 1 …
The assigned at 3 to a Group, we assign the image to the group, and proceed to perform Multicast Download …
Top 3 pcs … and came to where he shows the picture … and it’s been a long time that are there and do not move or shoot mistake … as it were hung …
Consult, 1 virtual, has assigned one fixed-size disk 10 gb with empty NTFS partition … and the other 2 have also assigned a dimanico 10 gb disk without partitions or formatting … will have this that see ???
As should have configured virtual machines ??
Is there any log file where I pull actions and errors ???
I hope your answers !!! Thank you very much !!!
We’re already almost put into operation !!!fog error c.jpg

I’d recommend cancelling the multicast jobs and start by using unicast (not a group of all three) as it will most likely destroy your network. As well as troubleshooting is extremely painful to narrow WHAT is causing the problem.
-
If multicast does not start (like I see on your last screenshots) most probably your FOG services on the server are not running:
sudo service FOGImageReplicator restart
sudo service FOGMulticastManager restart
sudo service FOGScheduler restart
sudo service FOGSnapinReplicator restart
-

i highly recommend that you post the original text as well as the translation.
the automatic translation is far from perfect, and some people on the forum will be able to understand your message in your native language.
