Organizations Using FOG
I realize many of you use fog, especially schools and such, for the speed and ability all at the low low price of FREE.
So we, the development team, would like get a listing of Organizations using FOG if you’d all be willing.
If possible, can you provide:
Approximate Number of systems:
Add to this, if you want to be listed publicly on the WIKI, please provide a Logo you’d want used for this.
Organization Name: SVOBE Schools
Location (Optional) St. Maarten, Dutch Caribbean
Approximate Number of systems: 500
How long: 8 Years.
We have been using fog to re-image all our school labs every summer.
Organization Name: High Point University
Location (Optional) High Point, NC
Approximate Number of systems: 50
How long: 1 month
I am able to properly capture and deploy images to Mac OSX Mojave and on Ubuntu Linux 18.04 LTS both using nvme drives, and supported with hostname changing via the Fog-Client.
I migrated us to FOG, suggested by a faculty member, after realizing manually doing this with CloneZilla was not ideal.
We at High Point University in North Carolina have migrated from CloneZilla to this open-source software and image management.
You have saved us a lot of future time by creating this software.
From the Webb School of Engineer, as the solo systems admin here, thank you.

Tribunal Regional Eleitoral do Paraná, a.k.a. TRE-PR, is the government body responsible for the electoral process (election, electronic ballot box, tabulation of results, etc.)
We’re proud to post here because at this very date, we concluded our implementation of FOG in our entire state (Paraná), wich means:
- a central location at our state capital (Curitiba), with our main server, and about 500 hosts
- 157 remote locations in the entire state of Paraná, each one with about 5 to 40 hosts, totaling about 2500 hosts, each one with a Storage Node.
So, hurray and thanks for all the efforts of the development team and your support!

@adukes40 It will be a year next month that we started out with a test instance. Honestly it has been less headaches than our old solution ever was!
@tom-elliott Tried it as images - I can email it to you in pdf format if you would like. Just let me know if/where.

@dclark Checking in from Milford School District. I heard you guys switched over to FOG.
@dclark mind retrying the upload?
Here is the basic white paper on how it helped the district during a tough budget year and ended up being one of the better finds we have made within the IT department.

@dclark Please do share with the community. This is an excellent way to contribute to the fog project. Also, it’s always refreshing and nice to hear positive stories about FOG.
