@Pingu Ok, i find out that my /images was a little bit bugged and got my snapshots in dev folder with the mac address as name folders, i moved them into /images and renamed them with the image name i configured on the Web Interface and it runs !!
Hope this will not happen for the next snapshots.

@kdmiller45 The fog-client software will do the activation for you if it’s all setup correctly.

@jj-fullmer said in USB ethernet adapter mac(s) for imaging multiple hosts. (Universal Imaging Nics) (Wired Nic for All Wireless Devices):

current host or get a host by a given uuid, mac, or hostname.

You should fork the fog-community-scripts repository and add this stuff to it. Just label it the powershell cli or something, give it some snazzy name.

For the Python project, I’m calling it fog-cli.

Hey, after tessting it really looks like the problem is on that SSD. Could deploy and upload on other clients. I guess the first imaging tool brokes it. But after all fog is better than that anyway. Thank you for your help!

@Wayne-Workman Hi I am going to try fedora. Is there a link to fedora 21 you would recommend as safe to download? or is it literally as simple to to install on Fedora 22 and change “yum” to “dnf” in the commands?

The FedoraProject hosts torrent files for Fedora 21 and YES they are COMPLETELY legal to use - because the software is open source and free, and p2p is legal as well when used legally. The torrents hosed there are safe - and come with hash values of what the files should have. So what you get would be legit.

Also - you can use Fedora 22 as well - and just change yum for dnf - and skip the MySQL stuff, the installer will install mariaDB instead of MySQL for Fedora 22. There are notes on this at the bottom of the article.

I created a new installation of Windows without system reserved partition.

Apply the following steps when the Windows partitioning window apeares:

Create a partition on the blank hard drive. Select the partition drive as the partition to install Windows on. Click “Next”. The 100MB partition will be created. Delete the partition which you created in step 1. Extend the 100MB partition to the desired size. Select the partition which you extended in step 5 and select ‘Format’. After formatting the ‘system reserved partition’ will now become normal ‘system’ partition.

I can confirm this works 🙂
