    Server
    • FOG Version: 1.5.0 RC3 today’s update
    • OS: Cent)S 7
    Description

    After editing a Snapin and hitting Update, I received the following text in my browser (Chrome):

    {“msg”:“Snapin updated!”,“title”:“Snapin Update Success”}

    This occurred w/o the expected pop-up message we’re seeing elsewhere in this WebUI update.

    Jim

      This isn’t a bug, not directly, I haven’t fixed up the code. The reason you’re seeing the “exit” is because it used to update using ajax, but because we have to deal with files, I don’t have a nice means yet. It’s in the works though.

      Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

        Regarding Bug Reporting - do you want a separate Topic for each thing we find or would you rather we compile a list and submit it as a single Topic? Just for future reference…

          @Jim-Graczyk Individual items make it easier to pin point, but "enmass’ is great when you can collaborate them into a nice list. (Think about it as:

          EPIC -> Contains all things immediately found.

          Individual, unknown or branched from the EPIC.

          )

          I’m working in an Agile/SCRUM system now, so these things make much more sense.

            Same message for me, and my snapin is not modified…
            So any solution to update snapin for the moment.

            Fog 1.5.9.138
            Debian 11
            Vmware ESXi

              @Matthieu-Jacquart The message, while ugly, is known and not a bug itself. The bug for you is the fact things aren’t updating. Can you run through the db cleanup/troubleshooting steps to see if something erroneous was added to the DB? I’m suspecting it’s updating conflicting information for that snapin causing it not to update. I can’t seem to replicate on my side, sorry.

                Display should be fixed now. File uploads happen nicely.

                  @Tom-Elliott Ok, you’re right I think it’s related to database because since 1.5-RC, fog sql backup is empty (0kb) in /home/fogdbbackup. But export databse in web management is ok.
                  How can I run db cleanup/troubleshooting steps ?
                  Thanks
