@xcvtop — Windows or Linux ( I assume 500Gb HDD in same CPU)
Option 1 :-
Windows/Linux – create folder in 500GB (e.g. FOG DATA) and make a symbolic link under /Images/fogimagedatain image management you have to set /Images/fogimagedata/imagefoldername

I’m not sure that is what i am looking to do, that looks like a shortcut almost or a copy of the orignal folder.
so i am running fog on Hyper-V I have a 50gb vhd with ubuntu on and an 500gb vhd empty for storing all my images.
There was no option when installing fog to specify a different storage location (i do not need to set up nodes as this fog server is just for 1 site)
i have logged onto the server and an see in the storage management the default node, i would like to point to my 500gb vhd instead of my50gb vhd.
i hope that makes more sense

This is an older document but it is still relevant. https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/6642/moving-fog-s-images-files-off-the-root-partition

There’s also this option:

Hi I still need some help with this, is there an easy way to do this when installing fog on Ubuntu if you cannot do it after fog is installed?
(I have tried 1 of the ways suggested but it didn’t work, and the other way was well out of my skill level) or is there anyway i can suggest a feature to be added to new versions of FOG?

It sounds like the drives are on separate virtual machines in which case you need to install fog on the second one as a storage node. Not sure how current this is but here is a video about it https://youtu.be/X72WthDGwsw.
