      Hi all,

Does anyone know an easy way to get a list of MAC addresses from Google Accounts Admin App for Chromebooks? We are bringing on about 200 units this summer and we’re looking for an easy method to do this.

      Thanks!!

      Any advice is appreciated!

      Cheers,

      Joe Gill

This may be a non-value added answer, but does either the units or the boxes have barcodes with the mac address listed? I know this is probably more manual than you wanted. Maybe as a last effort before having to manually key them in.

That what we do. The macs are on the side of the box along with a bar coded version of the MAC. We use a scanner to scan them into google docs.

Do you know of any other method? We have about 20 that have been deployed already. I can get their mac address from the Google Admin panel but that just seems like lots of clicks.

Thanks for the heads up on the new devices though! That will help things out. I have a bar code scanner so we’re ahead of the game their!

            Cheers,

use your dhcp server to export the MAC list. They should be clearly named and distinct.

Awesome! Thanks! I’ll have to check that out. We have 120 to put into action for this coming school year.

Thanks for all of the useful replies! We’ll use one of these iterations for our inventory when we start deployment in the next week or two.
