CentOS 7.1 Minimal Server built and updated today (2016/02/18).
      Installing build 6321.

The installation hangs at “Setting up and starting MySQL”.

Huh… actually locked the system up into a kernel panic.

Attempting to re-install over this failure, now fails gracefully at the same line.

Can you please post more details? Kernel panic?? Logs??

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

          Welp, it’s really quite simple.

I think I elicited a kernel panic entirely because I ctrl-c the process after it had sat there for 20 minutes without moving.

The rest of it is as it says; install CentOS, install fog… hang. I’ll try and dig up log files.

The installer does not hang when upgrading to 6321, only on a fresh install.

I’ll throw another turkey at it later and see what happens with 6323.

Don’t wanna sound rude or anything but AFAIK it should not be possible to conjure up a kernel panic by stopping a script using Ctrl+C! Never! Would be great if you can get us some log files or anything useful to look at and find what’s causing the hang (and/or panic).

I agree. A kernel panic was the last thing I expected from CentOS.

I’ve actually never seen a kernel panic from CentOS 7, Fedora, or Ubuntu… I’ve only seen them from machines network booting with FOG lol.

The turkey was a turkey. I couldn’t recreate it with build 6333, so I’m moving on.

I have problems to update the version of FOG under RHEL 7 and the mysql package. Until now, I don’t have any problems to update but with the last revision I can 't install the mysql package.

Problem solved, the /var folder was full. Now I can update the version.
