Just installed a new Fogserver registering hosts was working and i followed this article to move over my database and images. https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Migrate_FOG now it will not register anymore. I re-ran the installer i had for the clean install but that did not work.
Is this the right place: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Migrate_FOG

      Running on Ubuntu 16.04
Been down for a couple days and need to get back up running.

      Thanks

The binaries have all been updated. When did you rerun the installer? I updated the init’s relatively late last night. The 1.5.3 forgot to add the download element for the binaries, which is good in the case of the error many are seeing. Can you describe the error you’re seeing a bit more directly? Screenshots would be best.

@buercky right, the binaries are updated when the fog installer runs. The git repo is just the files that need installing.

@tom-elliott I get through the PXE Boot and to the fog registration screen as soon as i click on quick or the full registration i get either a flashing cursor on a Dell Latitude 7480 or this screen on a Dell 7050 desktop it stops here 0_1527879383424_fog issue.jpg

The funny thing is after the brand new install registration was working but after moving the DB and images over it stopped working

Did you turn off the old fog server and this problem happened? if so, probably your DHCP server needs updated - those steps are in that Migrate FOG article.

@wayne-workman I did turn off the old and updated the DHCP settings to point to the new IP address of the new server. They all seem to stop at init.xz… ok

@buercky Can you check the apache error log on the fog server? Maybe it has clues. Also check free space on the server with df -h

@wayne-workman I think space looks good Not very good at Linux but learning0_1527897575497_fogspace.jpg

And there are a ton of these errors in the apache log0_1527899149860_apacheerr.txt

@buercky Correct, space looks good. That error in the apache logs is not serious, it is concerning the bandwidth chart on the dashboard.

Just noticing here, @developers @moderators @testers is it normal for the message to be bzImage412 ? I’m refering to the screen-shot the guy posted a few posts below.

I do not get the “412” at the end of bzImage to answer your question.

I’m so close to getting this working The only issue now is that i get now is a “no viable macs to issue” I re-ran the installer 15 min ago and that did not help per this thread https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/12006/fog-perform-full-host-registration-no-viable-mac-to-use/5
I renamed the .fogsettings file and re-ran the install still getting No Viable Macs to issue

So close yet so far 🙂
