OS X Sierra Status

I have just deployed a new Fog server version 1.5.0-RC-13 and have been unsuccessful in getting an iMac to connect and image. I see there are some unsolved topics about this and was wondering if anyone had any updates on any of these topics.

@Cris13 It all depends, please tell us a bit more. What iMac model exactly do you have. As well which network card is build into the machine? Check in “About this Mac” , Hardware…

Please take a picture of where it hangs or fails and post here in the forum.

Here are the specs. This error come after booting from usb with the ipxe.efi from clean fog install. snponly.efi doesn’t load either. The issue seems to be similar to some of the other unsolved topics but I haven’t seen any updates since November and am trying to see if any progress has been made or if there is anything that needs testing.

@Cris13 From the things you posted it seems you have the exact same issue than others using the same NIC model. The issue is specific to that NIC. I have spend hours of work over weeks to look into this and digging through the iPXE and Linux kernel code - source code of both drivers are very similar to some extend but only the iPXE code seems to have the issue.
I was unable to work on this in the last weeks but I still hope we can somehow figure this out and make it work again. It’s just a matter of finding the right needle in the hay stack (more than 8500 lines of C code). Are you keen to get into this. I can give you instructions on how to compile and debug iPXE.
