@george1421
I captured the image no problem.
Im getting the error on deploying the image.
Neither directory has a formatted Mac name
I don’t see anything saying permission denied… just the same message above “Unable to locate image store (/bin/fog.download)”

Im wondering if its not anything to do with FOG?
It gets to the preparing Partition layout and then prompts:
**An error has occurred.

Args passed:Kernel variables and settings:

No errors seem to be in the parameters.
The parameters all seem goodComputer will reboot in 1 minute

I spoke too soon still complaining about Unable to locate image store /bin/fog.download.
From what I see all the other parameters are correct.exports file:

RE: After Adding Storage for Images / deploy image mounting failed
Boom that was it… Interesting I thought I did this already, I thought It was in the documentation but doesn’t seem like it was.

After Adding Storage for Images / deploy image mounting failed
OK so I added new storage called images2, followed the documentation:
https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Adding_Storage_to_a_FOG_ServerCaptured an image perfectly.
Trying to deploy an image and getting the error:
Mounting File System: Error
Could not mount images folder (/bin/fog.download)
Reason: mount: mounting 192.168.177.101:/images2/ on /images failed: permission denied.- Checked permissions and have fogproject root access.

RE: UEFI - Dell Precision 5760
Thanks George. I was able to solve this as it seemed strange that the DHCP was working and sending legacy but not UEFI. Turns out someone had added option 60 to the global Options for the pool Once I removed this everything worked as normal.

UEFI - Dell Precision 5760
Hello,
I have a new Fog deployment Legacy PXE working fine.
Set DHCP policies for UEFI 7,8,2 based on documentation
7 is set to ipxe.efiWhen trying to boot UEFI with Dell Laptop I get no IP (Which seems strange), and it just times out.
With proxmox I can boot legacy no problem.
With proxmox on a UEFI boot I cannot get anything either. -
RE: PowerEdge R510 IPXE issues
@george1421 I was able to add a TP-Link TG-3468 Card to the server and it worked.
The trick for anyone following or finding this thread will be to be patient and let the server go though both integrated nic’s failing to bring link up. Once it hits the 3rd nic the system will boot. -
RE: PowerEdge R510 IPXE issues
@Tom-Elliott is it possible to add the broadcom NetXtreme drivers?
-
RE: PowerEdge R510 IPXE issues
Thank you,
I believe that some workstations use the Broadcom NetXtreme I and NetXtreme II based adapters, I would thing it would already be built into the Kernel. What if I grab an older intel nic?

RE: PowerEdge R510 IPXE issues
Thanks as always @george1421 Where would I upload this firmware if I can find one already compiled?

RE: Pxe Input/output error
Running on RC10, Linux Ubuntu.
Based on what I am seeing George all of our systems are giving a Server error 500. So its seeming like Apache is crashing. The Log file confirms this.

Pxe Input/output error
Hey guys all of our Fog servers this am have this issue of input/output error. One of them I did a reinstall and it worked. What would cause 4 different networks to have the same problem?
-
RE: PXE Backgrounds 404 not found.
This ticket can be marked as solved. Just need to make sure documentation for RC10 is up to date as there is a problem with the link.
-
RE: PXE Backgrounds 404 not found.
Ah… ok checked that path HTML/fog/service/ipxe and bingo… the files do not exist.
Copied the files and boom they work.
