@gabbas Then it seems the switch is the issue. Is it a unmanaged one?

@Tom-Elliott iPXE seems to claim it’s mandatory from what I can tell
But it does basically the same thing as what you said, so it doesn’t really matter.

@Tom-Elliott I think he simply forgot to put vmlinuz after imgargs.

I’m guessing there’s another DHCP server on your network.
If that’s the case, please refer to https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Using_FOG_with_an_unmodifiable_DHCP_server/_Using_FOG_with_no_DHCP_server#DNSMASQ_settings_for_iPXE

RE: another init.xz issueposted in FOG Problems
I actually took the time to look through the spec sheet this time, seems like the Ethernet port is located on the dock you plug the device in.
I don’t think that makes it a USB NIC, not sure how much support there is for such docks to be honest.

@bmaster001 You need to add a kernel argument to this host. I believe it’s hasusbnic=1

@csa You replaced APPEND with imgargs vmlinuz ?

RE: 7981 to 8120 - stuck on "Database Schema Installer / Updater"posted in Bug Reports
@plegrand Don’t know enough about it to say for certain, but it won’t hurt to add those lines to your .fogsettings file with your webgui login credentials.

RE: 7981 to 8120 - stuck on "Database Schema Installer / Updater"posted in Bug Reports
@plegrand You could, I suppose, although seeing as the issue is resolved for most it might be necessary to figure out why it’s not working for you.
If you need FOG then downgrade yes.

@plegrand Try restarting mysql and then apache service.

@ITCC Could you make a seperate thread for that with the Apache error logs included?

Try replacing localhost with 127.0.0.1 and see if that helps.

You can safely remove mod_evasive from your install, FOG no longer relies on it.

FTP PHP Warnings (Low priority)posted in General
Alright, you’re probably going to say to check credentials, but don’t worry, I have.
I get these warnings in Apache log at the end of an image upload :
[Wed Jun 15 18:07:37.819540 2016] [:error] [pid 29670] [client 192.168.1.68:44806] PHP Warning: ftp_chmod(): SITE CHMOD command failed. in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogftp.class.php on line 31 [Wed Jun 15 18:07:37.818956 2016] [:error] [pid 29670] [client 192.168.1.68:44806] PHP Warning: ftp_delete(): Delete operation failed. in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogftp.class.php on line 58 [Wed Jun 15 18:07:37.752180 2016] [:error] [pid 29670] [client 192.168.1.68:44806] PHP Warning: ftp_rmdir(): Remove directory operation failed. in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogftp.class.php on line 172 [Wed Jun 15 18:07:37.752129 2016] [:error] [pid 29670] [client 192.168.1.68:44806] PHP Warning: ftp_delete(): Delete operation failed. in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogftp.class.php on line 58However, images upload fine, everything wroks as expected, etc, so it doesn’t seem like it should throw these warnings.
So obviously it’s not really a big concern, I’m mostly just confused about why these warnings show up.

APPEND is a PXELinux option, not an iPXE option.
Use the imgargs argument instead.

I get the permission denied too on CentOS. It seems the Evasive mod of Apache is a little bit overactive.

RE: Captured images not moving from */images/dev to */images/<hostname>posted in FOG Problems
@alorsung Capture happens through NFS and the moving happens through FTP, so yes, this is a typical FTP problem.

@EAHarvey Is there anything in /images/dev ?
