      @mageta52 But you can. This is Linux, after all, and they do not own CentOS 6. They merely own their product. What is the product?

      @mageta52 Ok, no problem.

      The proper tcpdump filter that will show us what is going on without showing things that you shouldn’t post to an open forum is this.
      tcpdump -w output.pcap port 67 or port 68 or port 69 or port 4011
      This will record only dhcp, tftp, and dhcpProxy traffic. Start this running on the FOG server then pxe boot the target computer (on the same subnet) until the target errors out then hit ctrl-C on tcpdump and review with wireshark or post it hear for review.

      I did not see that there was a dedicated tasks section. I’m still learning to find my way around the web GUI. The issue has been resolved, thank you!

      @george1421 Alright, so here’s what I’m going to do.

      I’ve got an old PFsense box that I set up to handle DHCP, and it can hand the clients off to FOG. This will happen on a separate subnet on the FOG servers second NIC. I’ll still be hooked up to the core network via the first NIC for easy access and management to the box.

      This way I can have my unmanaged switch, and be open to multicasting.

      Now that it is an option, it kind of goes back to my original question; if I’m going to image via multicast, my understanding is that it takes some setup, with making the group and registering hosts. I won’t be able to use quick image for this will I?

      @Sebastian-Roth I agree. But I also don’t have access to my building’s switches to fix multicast.

      @mageta52 said in Questions about FOG on isolated network:

      It sounds like what Quazz is saying, is that I can be on the local subnet ( 192.168.1.0 ) get the install done, then statically set the interface to 10.0.1.1 or something else on that isolated subnet, and then FOG will be able to adjust to it accordingly. Is this correct?

      You can connect the fog server to the business network to download FOG 1.2.0 stable then switch the network interface to the installation LAN and install FOG. For the trunk build you will need to have internet access (with a second nic) but initially fog must be installed with the main ethernet adapter at the final IP address and subnet mask.

      Remoted in. Found an error in the schema-page and fixed it. THen found that the DB connections weren’t operating properly and fixed that. All is updated in the codebase too.
