Yes that is correct!
For example…
Old port setting would be X_172_1_1_140
New string would be ??I’ve been setting all of my ports to 0. It just dawned on me that this might not work if more than one printer was installed on the host… << that’s what I’m curious of…

No problem!
We had a district wide printer refresh. We changed brands of machines which changed the drivers and models we use. I wanted to keep my naming scheme / IP addresses all the same as what the printers were set as. So I just updated the printer INF and Config files in FOG. Than did the following…
This has worked now on multiple machine types with the latest FOG client…
Group Management >> Group >> Printers >>
Set it to Only Assigned Printers
Delete ALL printers
Allow the Hosts to refresh…Set it to Fog Managed Printers
Add back your printers.
Allow the Hosts to refresh…You should be updated now with the latest print drivers.

I’m a little confused with the way the new printer snapin handles ports. It use to use X_IP_Address and it was fine. Now it must be a number. I have been setting all of my new printers to Port 0… I’m suspecting that may become an issue for machines that use more than one printer?My only solution so far to updating print drivers on machines is to set printers in FOG to be entirely managed by FOG. Then delete all of the printers. Let the host update. Then re-add the printers. However, if FOG could check the printer model and or printer name when the host checks in, if either of those change than update the driver. I’m sure it’s not that easy.

So I figured out where I’m seeing this…
I created a new test group… Added members to the group… Removed members from the group. Everything works there.
When I go into an existing group… (One created in older versions of FOG…) It does not delete the members from the group.

Strange… I just verified it again on my end and it certainly is not removing them from the group. I tested in both Firefox and Chrome. It WILL remove the Group from the Host. Just not vice versa.

I just tested the remove function in on the Group page. It acts as thought it is removing the selected host but it does not. You select the host, press the remove button, the page appears to refresh but everything is the same. I tried refreshing the page by going out of it and coming back into it and the hosts are still in the Group.

RE: FOG 1.5.0 RC2 Host Delete Problemposted in Bug Reports
Will that also fix the Group Membership delete function from the Group page? If not, I just found that one. You press delete within Group and it won’t delete. Delete function works from the Host side in Membership but not Group.
Hopefully what you have posted here will resolve this as well.

I don’t know what I saw there. I checked it again and saw exactly what you have posted… If I come across it again, I’ll screen shot it and post it.
I did double check the printer add issue I have posted and it does not update to show the printers that you have added. Update appears but the list never changes. To get the printers to update you have to completely refresh that host. In other words, click off of the host menu onto something else and then go back into the host you just updated.
