RE: Dell Optiplex 7060 and UEFI
Hi,
i had the same problem with DELL Precision 3630.
no bootable device was found because the internal PCIe SSD was in Raid 0 mode.
I switched it to non RAID0 an then it works. But pay attention. I had to reinstall the OS.
Hope that helps.

RE: Error 5xx Server Error -- Chainloading failed
@Sebastian-Roth
Hi Thx 4 the answer.
Meanwhile i solved my HTTP 5xx error.
The client has 2 NICs.
Both were registered with different Hostnames on the fogserver.
i deleted one.
The Boot works - no errors anymore
2 weeks of trying anf then that “simple” thing.
i hope it will help…

RE: Error 5xx Server Error -- Chainloading failed
@Sebastian-Roth
Hi
Do u mean this one?
@george1421 said in Create Task Capture Error:@Sebastian-Roth I remoted into the OPs fog server. I switch him over to the working branch and repulled the using git. After I reran the installer all of the files were where they should be. He was able to schedule a deployment. I think he is good for now.
If so, i do not know what to do
Sorry
Can u explain it?
thx in advance

RE: Booting vom SAN device 0x80 - systemboot stops after this message
edit:
after all i had to edit the refind.conf in /var/www/html/fpg/service/ipxe because the refind menu appears after network boot
i searched for the string scanfor
i edited the line to scanfor internal, hdbios
now it works (so far ;))

RE: Booting vom SAN device 0x80 - systemboot stops after this message
Jiiiiihah… I solved it by myself :))
Steps:
Entering the Setup of the Mainboard (UEFI/BIOS)- CSM Support diabled
- network stack enabled
- leaving with saving and reentering the bios/uefing
- placing the right boot order in the boot menu (1. nic, 2. Windows10)
Preparing the DHCP Server with a new vendor class following these steps:
https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=BIOS_and_UEFI_Co-Existence#Using_Windows_Server_2012_.28R1_and_later.29_DHCP_Policy
I took PXEClient:Arch:0007 with the ipxe.efi for the Option67.
I did not change the refind.conf as mentioned here:
https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/10773/fog-with-uefi-refind-error-failure-booting-legacy-bios-os/11FOG Server:
Entering the Hostmanagement:
Host Bios Exit Type: none
Host EFI Exit Type: Refind_EFIAnd now it works :)))

Booting vom SAN device 0x80 - systemboot stops after this message
Hello,
booting vom SAN device is an often discussed issue in the forum. I read a lot of threads but i cannot find my problem there.
Environment:
FOG Server 1.5.0 rc9 Revision 6080
Client: Aquado PC with a B360N WiFi Motherboard from Gigabyte
Boot Sequence: NIC - SSD - DVD RomThe registration process works fine. I see the client in the host section of the fog server.
And after that the boot process stops with prompting the “Booting from SAN device” message.
If I change the boot order now: SSD - NIC - DVD --> black screen with blinking cursors - system hangs.
I tried to change the bios exit types. But no one of them solved the problem.
I read that therer are bios vs UEFI issues, but i cannot see any switches in the BIOS to change.I hope these informations are enough to understand my problem.
If not i will deliver them. Thanks for the help in advance and sorry for my “good” english.

RE: PXE Boot HP X2 210 HP Tablets Windows 10 (FOG 1.5.0-RC-9)
@Sebastian-Roth
Hi Sebastian,
thx for the files. :))
My next step is to update the kernel.
Also the Hosts must be configured ( on the general page of the hosts i have to fill the right kernel in).
I will try to do that but in the moment i am not able to update the kernel (unable to contact server).

PXE Boot HP X2 210 HP Tablets Windows 10 (FOG 1.5.0-RC-9)
Re: PXE Boot HP X2 210 (Hybrid tablet Windows 10 Pro)
Hello together,
the issue in the former thread has marked as solved.
A new kernel was used to get the pxe boot working.
I tried to download it, but the link is broken.
Where can i get the files?
Thanks in advance
