yep that’s the log. and yea the password is set to never expire. And for kicks and giggles we would up the permissions on the account but that didn’t do anything either.

RE: Joining Domain Problems with windows 7
I have tried it both ways, when I tried it the domain\username method it comes up with an error Hostnamechanger Domain Error (Wrong username or password) Code 1326, so i took the domain part out of it and then it gives me 1312 error and i cant find any explanation for it online.

Joining Domain Problems with windows 7
I’m not really sure if this should go here or under windows problems
We have been working on making a universal windows 7 image with fog and then deploying it across several model computers, everything has been going great, it uploads and deploys fantastically but then when I try to get it to auto join the domain, I can get fog to change the computers name but it won’t join the domain. I get a Domain error (unknown error :1312) not really sure what that means?
I have recompiled the Hostnamechanger.dll files to include our passkey and the passkeys match all across from the account on the domain controller to the passkeys in the .dll and on fog.
Any Ideas?

RE: Sysprep.exe Help
I think it has something to do with reseal mode lines in my XML file
<settings pass=“oobeSystem”>
<component name=“Microsoft-Windows-Deployment” processorArchitecture=“x86” publicKeyToken=“31bf3856ad364e35” language=“neutral” versionScope=“nonSxS” xmlns:wcm=“http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State” xmlns:xsi=“http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance”>
<Reseal>
<Mode>audit</Mode>
</Reseal>I think that audit should be something else. But I’m not sure what goes there? I Tried oobe but it tells me that its out of range and can’t process it.
Sorry about the bad formatting

RE: Sysprep.exe Help
I wonder if it is coming back up all the time due to the fact I wasn’t in audit mode when I ran it before uploading my Image, I just tried running it in audit mode before hand and its uploading as I’m typing this, I’ll report back when I image a computer with it.

Sysprep.exe Help
Having a slight problem over here, I have built my answer file and got windows 7 to image fully, but every time i start the computer it says preparing computer for first use then auto logs into the local admin account and brings up the system preparation tool 3.14. I’ve tried the options to quit and oobe then reboot but it always seems to come back. Any Ideas?
Could this a problem with my answer file telling it to run again?
I have tried looking in the start up folder, Using Autoruns, and checking msconfig for entries to run sysprep on start up but have found nothing so far.
