I am running Ubuntu 16.04x64 on a dual quad dell. I upgraded to the latest trunk. 1.3.0-RC-8.

issue I have is when I image any machine I see this.

      0_1471573147931_VirtualBox_10_18_08_2016_21_11_12.png

I am not sure is this is normal. BUt I doubt it is.

Go back to kernel 4.7.0 Arch Type: (x86_64) and try again.

Use FOG’s integrated Kernel updater to do this:
Web Interface -> FOG Configuration -> Kernel Update -> Click download for desired kernel

Also, going to ping @Tom-Elliott I believe the new kernel parameters described in the below linked thread are what broke the kernel for you.
        https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/8323/several-problems-with-surface-pro-4/56

Also moved this thread to bug reports.

Just tried out the new kernel, there’s a lot of new output - but it does work for my old Optiplex 380. I have no doubts that it’s not working for you though, and probably won’t for a lot of other people too.

Wow, I have never seen any of these messages before…

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@dureal99d fix your FTP kernel password. Details here:
                https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Kernel_Update

The username and password should generally be exactly the same as the storage node username/pass (found in storage management). Then try again.

@Wayne-Workman I checked the suggested locations for changes and no go. is it possible that anything else could be the issue.

IF all else fails is it possible to back up the images and do a clean install and reregister the images with the fog server?

@dureal99d all you need to do is get kernel 4.7, all that other stuff is not necessary. The installer corrects the fog password both in the OS and in storage management. The pass is in storage management. If you need help I can help in about an hour.

I don’t understand how this is a bug. I’m not seeing the problem. Does the messages you’re seeing impact functionality in some way? It doesn’t appear to be panicking so I am totally at a loss as to what’s wrong.

@dureal99d We need clarification - is imaging working?

Because I assumed it was not, and maybe I’m wrong in this assumption.

@dureal99d Check the FOG Configuration Page->FOG Settings->TFTP Server->FOG_TFTP_FTP_USERNAME and FOG_TFTP_FTP_PASSWORD fields. Make sure it matches the username and password of the relevant storage node.

@dureal99d Can you make sure the /var/www/fog/service/ipxe directory is owned by the fog user:

                                  If Ubuntu based server:
                                  sudo chown fog:www-data -R /var/www/fog/service/ipxe

                                  If Redhat based server:
                                  sudo chown fog:apache -R /var/www/fog/service/ipxe

@Tom-Elliott / @Wayne-Workman OK everything is working fine now. thank you fog team for the help. according to @Tom-Elliott it was because the tftp folder was misdirected. I’m not really sure how that occurred but he fixed it. also @Wayne-Workman the revert to kernel 4.7.0 fixed the messages issue. but being as I’m informed its not really an error ill just later revert to kernel 4.7.1 and downgrade the messaging
