          That’s interesting… apache2 is a Ubuntu/Debian service… in RHEL land, it’s httpd.

            I am going to do another fresh install of Fedora 24 Server and run the
            dnf --enablerepo=remi --enablerepo=remi-php70 install php-fpm php-common
            command then try to do another install of the fog storage node. I will let you know how it goes.

            Thank you.

              @mclapper68 If you are going to do another fresh OS install why don’t you just use centos 7, then there is no monkeying around. It just installs. Or use ubuntu 14.04 either will install clean.

                We have solid tutorials in the wiki for Fedora and CentOS 7.

                If you’re not Linux savvy - go with CentOS 7. If you are going to run the server for years and years and years, go with CentOS 7.

                Most of our sites at work are using CentOS 7 - with me being the exception. I use Fedora Server at work and home lol.

                And I’d recommend Debian over Ubuntu. Debian is more stable - and the developers don’t make radical changes every release. Since Debian is up-stream from Ubuntu, that alone should be reason enough to use Debian instead of Ubuntu. Plus, Debian is regarded by many to be the “most free” of all Linux distributions.

                  While I did try a fresh install again. No luck. I am going to install CentOS 7 now. I will let you know how it goes.

                    All that time wasted with Fedora. CentOS 7 works super smooth no errors no problems. Thank you to everybody. I think Fog should put CentOS as there preferred OS just my humble opinion.

                      @mclapper68 I’m testing Fedora as I type.

                        I had exactly verbatim the same experience with a fresh Fedora 24 VM that you described.

                        Remi repo for Fedora 24 is broken.

                        And… I can’t tell them about it because their forums won’t let me register, because they think my IP is associated with spammers lol.
