Task Management - Searching results by hostname
-
When I open task management, and try to use the search feature for each of the columns to search by hostname, my entry gets cleared out when the page refreshes.

I’m unable to replicate, maybe cause I’m on a different release?
-
Can’t reproduce on 7416 either. What I am wondering about is that I don’t see any reloads after I stop typing. Possibly some kind of auto form filling issue? Can you please move your current browser profile out of the way for testing and give it a try with a fresh profile - or just try in a different browser?
-
Yes I will.
More information about the issue, I deployed a Chrome MSI to about 500ish computers the other day using a snapin. Not all the computers were on, so we have had quite a lot of tasks that are just sitting and waiting in task management.
My co-worker needed to image 4 laptops, and we couldn’t because of the snapin task. So we were trying to filter all the listings in the task management area by name but what we typed just kept getting cleared out every time the page refreshed. It was happening to him and me too.

@Wayne-Workman Was it the results being cleared or the search field? Or both?
-
@Sebastian-Roth Just the search field gets cleared. If you can manage to click the checkbox before the refresh - the checkbox stays checked in the list.
-
@Wayne-Workman But with the cleared search field your search is gone as well. Do I get this right?
-
@Sebastian-Roth Right, it just displays all tasks (hundreds of them).
-
@Wayne-Workman Would you be able to replicate this and run a tool like firebug along with it to see what is causing the “reload” (xhr I suppose)?
-
@Sebastian-Roth I can on Monday.
-
Will do this tomorrow. Today was kinda hectic.
-
@Wayne-Workman Anything?
-
Ok I have firebug installed in Firefox, exactly what am I looking for?

Here’s a video of the issue:

@Wayne-Workman Now that is a whole different thing as originally described in the title.
I have pushed what I hope will fix that little issue.

@Tom-Elliott Confirmed fixed in r7498

Video/picture is worth a thousand words… I thought you meant the hosts search function (not the search in the listing).
